been having this conversation for 8 years. you'll get people who love it (myself included) people who just say meh, and then people who flat out hate it.

 

I don't hate it by any means, but I enjoy it a lot. It's probably my third favorite Brand New record.

 

from a production stand point it is their best record. Also its really good at getting in and out at 30 some odd minutes. That being said, while I love it as a piece of art and it is my second favorite brand new record, it still left me wanting more. Like I felt the band could still expand their sound more melodically from devil and god forward.

 

On the rare day that TDAG isn't Brand New's best album, it's Daisy. It's perfect in a different way. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Daisy and Deja are equal for me. All I know is TDAG is leagues above them and I don't like YFW.

 

Never listened to YFW in full during the ages I likely would've resonated with it most. Probably won't ever now

 

TDAG, Daisy and Out of Range are top tier for me. They all resonate with me emotionally in a way that YFW, Deja, and the demos never did even when I was younger.

 

Let's do this St. Mary's. Fuck the bearcats.

 

#24 on St. Mary's is gonna be a nightmare at the pick up courts when he's 40.

Out Of Range is one of my all-time favorite Brand New tracks.

 

Either that or it turns out this wasn't the march madness thread.

 

If the new record comes out in march this will become March madness

Lately my favorite brand new is when they're doing the No Seatbelt Song, Brothers Revised, Me VS, Sealed To Me type sound. I want more of that in my life.
