I have no faith in that Goldfinger album being good

 

Yeah I didn't care for the last two at all and don't expect anything. But Travis and Mike from MxPx are on it so I'll give it a listen anyways.

 

Just listened to Parking Lot on good headphones and it made a world of difference. Definitely liking it more

 

Honestly I just can't be objective when it's about 90s pop/punk I will always tell you that I love it even if it's gonna be garbage so I assuming I'll love new Goldfinger as well and iam pretty sure that Feldy will try make similar album to California...maybe little bit Ska version hahah

Ours is like yours the only songs on rotation are... little mix, chainsmokers, zayn, alessia cara, and whatever random tropical house pop is in charts

Grabbing some happy hour drinks and catching some march madness games with my buddy. Whoever is in charge of the music is doing great and is on their game...they played Parking Lot! They also played Descendents and other punk bands. I think I'm dreaming.

 

I have played this song multiple times and I like it more and more each time, I'm loving belting it out at the top of my lungs in my car and it makes me so reminiscent of the times I spent with my best friends doing dumb shit in high school

 

I keep seeing the whole "at least it's new songs though!" argument and I just don't buy that. I would take no new music at all over California or this new song.

Then again, I probably have just grown out of this band. They're the only one in the genre that I even give a listen to anymore.

 

Finally got to listen to this outside of work and I actually am starting to appreciate it. The lack of Mark still doesn't let this feel like blink to me (his verse is the weakest part, too), but it's still an ok song in my book.

 

Mark's doing one of his AMA's on twitter and the interesting answers so far are that the song he's most excited for ppl to hear is "Misery" and that the next time they tour Canada will be during the next album cycle.

 

He just confirmed Feldmann makes them sing the Na Nas. AMAZING.

 

I like how Mark said John Feldman made him sing the Na Na's. Too many Na Na's. Time for the boot Feldy.

Nothing really interesting except like what Kuri44 said. Only other real tidbits were Mark said they are touring the East Coast in the spring (even though nothing has been announced) and Parking Lot was written after the California sessions.

 

I love how hung up on this people are. It's like ten seconds of the song haha. My favorite is when people are like "they used na-nas when they could have used a sick riff there" like Tom was just noodling like Jack O'Shea from Bayside at every opportunity.

Could they use less of the vocal fillers? Sure. It's the weakest aspect of the album. But No Future was the only song on the album where it really kinda bothered me. Was there a ton of hate on The Offspring back in the day for all the "whoas" and whatnot? Genuinely curious.

 

Well, I snagged pit tickets to Austin. First time seeing Blink since 09, 7th overall. Hoping for a good time and a fresh setlist

and that they keep Parking Lot far, far away

Is it only me or you can also hear kind of a transition from Brohemian Rhapsody to Parking Lot?

 

Totally, the riffs are similar aswell

I hope they play Parking Lot on this tour to promote the deluxe.

 

I don't particularly like the new song, but I am ok with that. If I liked every song they put out, then I'd just be a blind follower. I'm still excited for the rest of the album. I felt the same way when Rabbit Hole was released. Just kinda, "eh."

 

A respectable opinion
