That was from my first 5 years. Last two years, every semester I had to write a damn $7500 check since I went past the federal aid eligibility time limits lol

I took Latin in Middle School. I randomly spout off "Agricola, agricolae, agricolae, agricolam, agricala, agricolae, agricolarum, agricolis, agricolas, agricolis" and I have no recall wtf the indicated.

Luckily mine are all federal, I just wouldn't have went to school if I had to get private loans. Fuck that.

I had a full ride until my senior year, so I only graduated with $6500 in loans. Took three years of a lot of work and sacrificing other things to pay them off. I hate having debt over my head, but I realize how lucky I got.

I got like 7000 a year for chem, until they took it away when I got a D in ochem and I failed to join a research group lol.

Definitely! I only had like 25k in federal loans for undergrad

Then I panicked right after the economy fell in 2009 and made a bad grad school decision

I got my school's specialty grant for exceptionally poor with outstanding grades because my mom's company folded the year before I went to college and we lost our house in Florida to bankruptcy at the same time so my first FAFSA was negative $88,000 in income or something insane like that. Life has been a ridiculous ride.

Well I'm 25 and just got my aa. And I've been landlocked between that and a job and a car payment, its been tough. Now I did have a scholarship, but at 18-19 I was like fuck that, and I lost Bright Futures (Florida 75% community college scholarship). I rather play guitar and smoke weed.

And my sister did the whole go to big university and get 100k+ in debt. She hates her job which really isn't in her intended field, so I took my time. Still don't know what I want to do, but I know more of what I don't want to do than I did back then.
I do envy those who stuck out the ride though.

Bright Futures was a lifesaver. Because my parents had paid in when I was young, they cashed out a check since I was going out of state. Pretty sure that's what bought my laptop and textbooks for Freshman year.

A decent thing about FAFSA is you only have to claim one parent if they're divorced, so even though Dad was claiming me on his tax returns, I was claiming mom on FAFSA. Kinda felt nice to rig the system a little in my favor that way.

I went to school and socialized for the first time ever really, failed my math and science classes, got on academic suspension one semester, then financial suspension for not paying my dorm fees, then defaulted on my like $26k loans to ensure that I can't go back. FAFSA screwed me over, my parents made too much money for me to get grants even though they couldn't afford to help me through school

    Basically I'm a huge fuckup, I know it's shocking
