Blink has always been the pop punk band I love even though I dislike most of the genre and yeah this song is similar to the type of pop punk that I don't like

I made the joke because I just never understood those issues. They genuinely sound so distinct to me. I never imagined anyone would have that issue. But alas.

 

Good god, just stop the "na"s and "whoa"s already. Song is alright though.

I agree although I admit I had trouble the first time I heard BTD only because I was listening to it via a leaked YouTube link on very low volume because my son who was a little over a month old was asleep on me haha.

 

Namedropping the Smiths, Violent Femmes, and Naked Raygun just makes me wish I was listening to them instead of this song haha

Still very excited to hear all the other new stuff. Again wishing for slightly darker/untitled-ish vibes and less nostalgia lyricism. But I'm happy blink is doing stuff and people are liking it.

 

I'll give you about tree fiddy for one of them. Haha

 

Sadly this song was worse for me on repeated listens. Tired of the name dropping. Song feels kinda disjointed as well. I'm not giving up hope though I still feel the deluxe could be great.

That is what I love about it. It feels like a shitty punk song they made in their garage and I love it.

 

This song is on the same level as "No Future" for me, which is to say: it's good, it's a serviceable blink song, but it's mid-tier.

THAT SAID, I'm so stoked to hear the rest of the songs and basically get 2 blink albums in a year's time.

 

Pre Order for the Deluxe Album is up on iTunes now. I know what I'm going to be listening to on the way home.

Musically, the song is nice because it shows that they've come into their own and have a "new blink-182 sound" with Skiba that we can expect to continue on future albums.


$165 for the four copies is easier to swallow than 35+shipping for one. I'll now own six copies of this album on vinyl

 

It's pretty funny that the only songs available for listening from the Deluxe are the singles from the standard and Parking Lot... the standards out. Why not just make the first half listenable haha

Yep, same here. I like it, don't get me wrong. Doesn't really feel like blink to me all that much, but that's not automatically a bad thing! I am on the same page as you; Any new blink I get is a win for me.
