After years of wanting a MacBook, I finally caved in and bought one yesterday. Best Buy apparently has been running a sale on them, and it was the final day. I underestimated the adjustment period from the PC switch. I'll have to play around with it to see what if I need to make some changes.

 

I've been trying to look into actual cases too but all I ever find are sleeves or skins so if you find anything, let us know!

Anyone have any fun or favorite new apps (in any categories) they've been enjoying lately?

It's weird that it's been out for this long and there are no cases out by the usual brands

Edit: Amazon actually has some decent ones now if you search "macbook 2016 case." I just ordered this one; maybe it's lame but I'm a sucker for space and nebulae pictures, ha. Will report back on the quality when I get it.

Got an Apple TV 4th gen last night and I looooove being able to use Siri to navigate through the different apps/shows/etc..

Also love never having to type in a password again lol

 

I wanna know why I get signed out of my Comcast login all the time on the iPad ESPN app (and sometimes Apple TV app makes me do the activation thing again).

I have to log back in virtually every time and it makes me wanna rip my hair out.

 

That said I love my Apple TV so much. I watch virtually everything through it these days. I don't remember the last time I moved over to the cable box.

 

I wish Apple would make a full-sized wireless keyboard. Anyone have any luck with any 3rd party alternatives?

A few years ago, backstage at a conference, I spotted a blind woman using her phone. The phone was speaking everything her finger touched on the screen, allowing her to tear through her apps. My jaw hit the floor. After years of practice, she had cranked the voice’s speed so high, I couldn’t understand a word it was saying.

And here’s the kicker: She could do all of this with the screen turned off. Her phone’s battery lasted forever.

 

I have to do this too, I think it's an ESPN thing. I'm thankful my mom has cable because we just use her login for everything. The fiance and I are very happy Watch HGTV is available through the 4th gen without having to use Airplay heh

 

I'd guess that they implemented the new Single Sign-on API incorrectly because I don't have that issue with other apps that use it, just ESPN.

 

It has the little bluetooth USB, but I use the Logitech K750 and have no issues with it.

 

Ah, see I'm trying to avoid anything needing a USB port as my new mbp only has two USB-c ports and I'm trying to minimize the need for more adapters. I'll check it out though, thanks.

 

I have the same issue on the Apple TV but with the Hulu app. I got so frustrated with that I stopped using it altogether

 

To everyone who has an Apple Watch, what's your favorite watch face? Any cool complications that you use? Also, what band?
Right now I use a black sports band and I really like the modular face because of how many complications you can have

 

Ah okay. I don't know if Anker has a full sized one, but I have one of their smaller keyboards and it's totally wireless. Might be worth checking to see if they have one.

 

Also use a black band and the modular face. I set up four modular faces each with a different middle complication, but with the same ones in the corners. The middle one is different dependent on what I want or am doing (one has sports scores, one has the temperature, one has activity info, etc.)

I never thought an Apple Watch would be as useful as it is.

 

Does anyone know a way to cheaply and securely remote into a mac from an ipad?

 

Probably not considered cheap these days, but I've used this for years and have never had an issue.
