Fuck I want to go to Huna day so bad. That's the only big whale beer that I've never had the chance to drink.

Can't make it to Huna day this year, but I did wind up getting invited to a crazy bottle share in Tampa last night with a bunch of people who came in town for it which was amazing. Easily the most beer I've ever seen in one place.

was it the one in east lake? i saw a couple around my social networks, but there def were some insane ones. I should probably make a list of what I drank at the fest itself.

Alright, here goes. Pretty sure I tried other things, too, but this is what I know I drank (I remember everything I stood in line for, and checked into them on Untappd):

Cigar City Brewing - Coconut Cubano Espresso Brown Ale
Perrin Brewing - No Rules Vietnamese Porter
Cascade Brewing - Tangerine Dream NW
    Fremont Brewing - B-Bomb
Red Cypress Brewing - Never Nude Blueberry Wheat Ale
Transient Artisan Ales - The Juice is Loose
    Upland Brewing - Iridescent
Other Half - All Citra Everything
    Firestone Walker - Parabola
Half Acre - Barrel-Aged Big Hugs
    Casa Agria - Heritage Gold
Garagiste Meadery - She Wore A Raspberry Bochet
    B Nektar - Rhube Strawberg
    Toppling Goliath - Mornin' Delight
Calusa Brewing - Imperial Barrel-Aged Dissonance Breakfast Brown Ale
Cigar City Brewing - Xquic (Hunahpu with maple syrup and coffee)
Oskar Blues - Bourbon Barrel-Aged Ten Fidy
    7venth Sun - Kumquat?
Swamp Head - Catherine's Mounds (imperial stout w/ coconut)
Rapp Brewing - Chocolate Peanut Butter Stout
Sahtipaja - Feel The BEat, Raz (raspberry and beet juice berliner)
    Voodoo Brewing - ManBearPig
The Answer - Mind Games triple dry-hopped DIPA
    The Answer - Dead Thumb
The Rare Barrel - Feed The Monster (Batch 2)
The Rare Barrel - There Are Rules
Cigar City Brewing - Hunahpu's Final Push (Hunahpu with kopi luwak coffee)

After the fest, we went back to a friend's AirBNB and cracked a BA Abraxas.

All in all, one hell of a day.

Kane does a bunch of variations of their export stout Port Omna around St. Patrick's Day ever year and canned them for the first time this year. Haven't cracked any yet, but they all sound awesome. They canned the base along with a variant on a pound per gallon of coconut, a "creamsicle" one on orange zest and vanilla beans and an irish potato candy one on coconut, cinnamon and lactose.

The one I was at was in Ybor. I was only there for about 2 hours and had some crazy stuff. It was all stouts, sours, and meads. The guy who brews ManBearPig was at it which I thought was cool. I can't believe how massive this whole thing is now with so many people coming from all over. It was a whole house party bottle share and I was the only local. There were several people from Miami area, but others were from California, Michigan, Illinois, etc.

Transient is like 2 hours from me and I've never been there yet. I need to get down there ASAP.

Also, anyone looking for sours, I had a sour from Arclight Brewing from SW Michigan that I thought was on par with the Cascade sours. Jammy, tart, fresh fruit. Just delicious.

I need to make it out to Transient. It sucks that most can releases happen when I can't make the 3+ hour drive.

I split my allocation with my best friend for KBS week. A four pack and a bomber each. More than I've ever gotten, so im happy. Being on a diet has made my beer fridge packed though.

I'm sure I'll make it down to the St. Joe area this spring or summer and check out some places.

I grabbed a four pack of KBS at Meijer on Saginaw and my girlfriend has a four pack waiting for her on Thursday at the Meijer in Okemos (which is really well run; email lists and everything). Then tomorrow I'll get some more at Horrocks. Possibly pick up some more later this week at ABC.

I tried to get another four pack at meijer today after work, and even though they had signs advertising they got it at noon, they didn't receive their shipment which was strange.

Hmm, that's odd. My girlfriend stopped by meijer after work and got a four pack. we'll likely get like 2 1/2 four packs and maybe a bomber or two. That's usually what we end up with.

Went to Tired Hands on Monday, Dave Witte put in a good word and we brought up some beer from a local brewery, drank and ate for free and then got sent home with some growler fills, free bottles and five cases of cans (most for a charity event Dave runs). Was insane.

Brewed on my own for the first time last weekend, biab with the northern brewer's Pliny kit. I don't think it'll be great, went way over on my og and potentially shoulda pitched a second smack pack of yeast. But the ball is rolling so I'm excited, if it's not poison I'll consider it a success.

@Joe4th You had any M-43 IPA on tap your way? Bought a four pack at Horrocks last night and cracked into them and god damn it's really good. I had the first tapping of it out at Old Nation and it was not good. But the last few batches have been tweaked and it's Ellison level good, IMO.
