i have a full mansions variant collection
my picture is not entirely up to date but yeah. it's everything. picture just missing a new variant of NBF and DUTD acoustic

 

I'm incredibly proud of my Tokyo Police Club collection.

 

Discog collecting can be fun, but I've always felt variant collecting is taking it too far, at least for the way I enjoy collecting and what I'm willing to spend on records. I'd personally much rather spend on releases I don't have than 5 copies of the same thing. But I do have a full B&C discog and hope to soon have a TBS one once they put out their new represses this year and I need a couple more for a full Brand New discog.

 

I've been trying to get around to take pics of my complete blink variants but they keep repressing stuff.

 

mansions was fun to collect because they're a small band that is good and means a lot and people won't cash grab release off of them

That sounds lame. I'm only into vinyls that are $45+

 

i also bought all three variants of the new emperor x album because duh

 

I love this so much. Just spun DUTD the other day, such a solid record.

 

never thought i'd get here because of the pink one, ended up trading five non out of print records for it (devil and god euro press, japandroids, the format, few others idk)

 

I have all variants of The Format's records as well as fun., but that's the extent of my variant collecting.

 

I have every Thrice studio release but I'm not even close to every variant.

 

Extremely jealous. Good looking TPC collection there.

I only own more than one variant of a handful of records.

 

Considering buying just the Earth replacement LP. Think its worth it? Not even close to budget to try and buy the full Alchemy Index.

 

That will just make me depressed I can't listen to the rest and probably end up buying the complete Index ha.

 

I figure it will be a nice placeholder until I can afford the whole thing. It's a damn shame Dustin said it would never be repressed.

I take that back, somehow missed Springsteen at Hammersmith on there. Plus, Tegan and Sara said they'd be involved again as well. So, I'll be lining up.

 

I did it! In my opinion, 1/4 is better than 0/4.

 

The closest thing I have to a full collection is the TBS discography. I have the self titled on pre-order and will get Louder Now when it comes out and then I'll be done

 

I'm selling my copy of the Moneen - The Red Tree [Box Set] if anyone is interested. $80 shipped. Which is only $10 more than what it cost me. PM me if interested.

 

This will probably be the first year in a very long time that I don't participate in record store day. The sales at my local record store are never good enough and I'm super disappointed in that list. Every year I wait in line to get into the store for an hour just to see like 15% off sales. Records are expensive here and 15-20% is usually not that good.


Also I'll never forget the year I waited outside to get my re-issue of Relationship Of Command and it was gone by the time I got in. I've hated record store day ever since, really.

 

Don't tempt me

 

I had the full MCS discography, but I sold most of it because of being broke.

 

That gold pressing looks great. Can't wait for it either.
