I wonder how many "old school bands" will be on the tour. I think you need to have 6 other 7. If Lyman only has 2 or 3 sprinkled in with the usual "Warped bands", I don't see it going over well. It won't be enough for older fans to come out and the younger kids won't pay any attention.

Didn't Kevin or the Warped Tour FB page respond to someone and said the stage layout would be the same as last summer?

This is obviously a given, but every band playing the announcement show on the 22nd will play the tour.

There's a good to fair chance that not even Kevin knows what's going to happen with the tour this year.

 

Is the closest place to Minneapolis/Shakopee with a good field type set up actually Nashville? Come on...

Do not get why they're going back to Canterbury Park if they're just going to cram everything into that too small parking lot again... just find a big open field somewhere else nearby...

 

Kevin shared the new Anarbor video on Twitter.

 

Anarbor would be great. I haven't seen them since the last Warped they played. 2013 I believe.

 

Yeah, they were one of my favorite sets of 2010. Let the Games Begin was the first song I ever moshed too, haha.

 

Very solid live band for sure. Saw them in 2010 and 2013. Can't complain about either set.

 

I definitely enjoy them, but I'm pretty sure I only know the Free Your Mind EP. That being one of my favorite EP's.

 

Their full lengths are certainly worth checking out. They seem to have a lot more Funk Rock influence (think Red Hot Chili Peppers, 311, Fishbone) than your average Pop Punk band. Very unique style for the scene/genre. The live show puts even more emphasis on that than the albums.

 

Also, I really don't think anybody besides me has brought it up, but I'm really thinking Fishbone will do some dates, if not the whole tour. Their classic lineup got back together a few months ago and their current tour plans end on April 2nd. I know their singer Angelo did his Dr. Madd Vibe thing on the tour from 2009-2011 and Fishbone did some dates in 1996 and 2007 so they're not exactly strangers to Warped.

 

The Words You Don't Swallow is a really fun record if you can find it. "Drugstore Diet" and "The Whole World" are incredibly catchy.

Fireworks and Polar Bear Club aren't doing it. Fireworks didn't like Warped when they did it in 2011 and I really doubt Warped would throw PBC enough money to get out of retirement.
