I always feel conflicted about things being empowering because it's a choice. Just speaking generally. Like I get how something can feel personally empowering but are these choices empowering women? The idea that since a woman made a choice = enpowering kinda rubs me the wrong way. Or is that what she's saying lol idk it's 530 am and I'm awake so the world is terrible.

Happy women's day everyone! I'm so happy I have so many wonderful and inspirational women in my life (and yes I mean all of you gals too)

For a sec I was like ooh I should do something special for the women in my office but I work with all women and this seems expensive af now lol

 

This is the most boss thing I've ever done in my life and I will never top it. I walked out and took my supervisor and 3 other employees with me. We helped out at the women's shelter. Just wanted to share some of the positivity and empowerment I'm feeling right now. Pray I didn't get fired tho haha

I don't think I've ever said anything about this but at the women's shelter some of the resources are used to find jobs for the women. There's this super woke 5 year old that always tags along with me. Her mom just got a job and they worked out a small apartment for them. She was telling me about getting her own bedroom and I asked how she wanted to decorate it. She melted my heart when she replied that she wants her whole room decorated in Rosie the Riveter stuff bc she wants everyone to know she's a "HUMONGOUS FEMINIST." 5 years old. I can't help but be hopeful for the future.

Her mom is ordering the twin size bedding once she gets her first paycheck.

I was going to ask if y'all could help me find some non expensive pieces like lamps or something. The cheaper the better but I could use some help googling.
