People are fucking weird man.

 

God of War 1 is so infuriating on Spartan mode, has me up raging at 3:30 in the morning. Can't even imagine God mode

 

IGN's community is almost worse than reddit

 

That's mainly a side effect of being so huge I guess

 

I mean most gaming communities are utter shit.


One of the reasons I like Giantbomb so much, community is a breath of fresh air compared to everywhere else.

 

Easy Allies are all about love and respect and the community fits that.

 

So is Chorus

 

I still gotta check out their content sometime.

GB puts a lot out in any given week so I rarely see anything from anyone else except for the occasional review/article

 

Yeah I'm the same. I think when you find the group of people you like there's no real reason to branch out. I generally just watch Easy Allies stuff until e3 or something else big where I'll watch everything. I sometimes watch other reviews too if it's for a game I'm excited for.

 

I listen to podcast by a lot of outlets, I don't really watch anything, except for the conferences which I usualy watch via GB I guess. IGN gets a lot of shit but their podcasts are mostly fun. They are the sitcoms of video game podcasts.

 

Saw a report that For Honor has lost half of its player base already.

Fresno had its first professional fighting game tournament and from everything I've read it sounds like it was a hit. It even got support from some big gaming sites and twitch.

I'm a little bummed I couldn't make it because work but I'd love to go to the next one.

 

Yeah I seen that one also. It's a bummer how people use steam to judge a game when the console side has some very dedicated fans.

 

Jason Momoa is gonna blow a lot of shit up in a Just Cause movie. I hope it is just him paragliding with a rocket launcher.

 

That came out at such a terrible time. I feel like in a less busy video game month that game would've found itself a nice player base. I enjoyed the beta quite a bit, but didn't pull the trigger on it because I knew Horizon and Zelda would be dominating my gaming time soon.

 

I think For Honor is just a bad game tbh

 

For Honor has its niche appeal, but it was never going to have a large playerbase really.

Still I wouldn't worry about not being able to find matches anytime soon, it seems like it'll have wheels for its hardcore players.

 

Yeah, E3 is a fun time where I'll watch conferences multiple times with different commentaries from differen outlets.


That being said I kind of avoid all Kind of Funny stuff now, Colin Moriarty is insufferable.

 

Lossing half your launch base isn't a big deal if the rest is stable
