I think you would have to group the "Greatest Hits" from the other songs. Like have a the normal set list of the 20 of so songs and tell the fans to choose 10 and then have another 20 songs that they rarely play and tell the fans to choose 10 of those.

Yeah that's why I haven't really blamed the band for not switching up the set at all, it has to be hard, professional or not, to learn 20 plus new songs basically on the fly like he's been doing. Hopefully the band starts playing more of their new stuff as they continue on.

Travis learning the drum tracks for 20 songs in under an hour sets the bar pretty high, haha

  4. I always read about that and wondered how it was possible. I wish there was video of that set.

I've always assumed that it's a somewhat embellished fact and that he was like, already familiar with a lot of their music/was preemptively told he might have to fill-in. I forget what he said about this in his book

Plus right after he joined he had to go back and prepare for the full discography shows for Trio at one point. I cut him slack. With how many songs he's written between Trio and solo, and I know they were practicing like 35 songs before California, so since then he has like thirty more songs rattling around up there. I'm not musically inclined at all so maybe I'm not a good judge but that seems like a good bit to handle to me. Mark did acknowledge changing up the set so maybe Matt got a few more songs under his belt, but I have a hard time asking more of him than he's given haha.

Month before the deluxe, about what I figured. Probably put out Sober for summer. Be shocked if that is never a single.

I'd have to think that one of the new songs from the Deluxe album would be the summer single. You got to promote that album too.

Maybe. It's interesting, has a rock band done something like this? I mean I know SOAD did double albums like 6 months apart (I think?) so that was a bit different. Not super familiar with Katy Perry but I think at least one deluxe song was a single. If they feel as good about this batch of songs, you'd think a single would come from it.

I guess Green Day's trilogy is a comparison too but that just felt doomed from the start to me.

  15. Home Is Such a Lonely Place could probably pick up steam on the radio and get airplay on the more alternative/soft rock stations. Makes sense.

All I know is that a deluxe double vinyl better be a thing. My hands will be all over that.

Katy Perry had two singles from her Deluxe album, but she was of course coming off of a massive massive hit album. I would find it strange if the record label didn't try and push a new song as a single.

Home Is Such A Lonely Place is one of my favorites on the album so hopefully it blows up and they finally play it live

It would be a cool song for them to start an encore with, similar to when they played What Went Wrong before Reckless Abandon then into Dammit to close the show.

I'm hoping the deluxe version songs are better than the majority of what was on the original release ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  21. if they are better then the majority of what was on the original, then these new songs could be blink's best stuff to date ;-)

Surprised this isn't getting thrown in all our faces by Tombots today:

“Blink is in my DNA,” he said, suggesting an eventual reunion is likely. “I talk to Travis quite a bit and we try and figure out how and when it’s going to make sense.

“It’s not like I (permanently) walked away. They have someone doing my job for me (in blink). It’s just that I’m so busy. If I wanted to, I could be back (in blink) in a period of days.”

Hahaha I guess it depends on how you feel about the record. I was really only about cynical, she's out of her mind, rabbit hole, and obviously built this pool.
