So like Miley Cyrus shoot with Terry. Exploitative right?

There's more grounds for speculation, but I wouldn't go as far to say it was exploitative. To clarify, my responses about exploitation have been in context of the original post about Emma Watson, where there's no grounds for speculation.

God, that's so fucked up. That is basically saying you don't matter and we don't care about how you're doing mentally. I couldn't imagine the toll that will take on women.

Every time I see Emma Watson, I think of her coming for Beyonce's feminism. That's really not fair bc everyone has said shit they regret but it's always in the forfeont of my kind.

I also was kinda weirded out that her he for she thing came off to me that the first thing that needs to be fixed when it comes to feminism is the inclusion of men. Intersectional feminism is where I would start bc it's important and not a lot of people even know what intersectional feminism means.

Tbh did she ever apologize? Genuine question I really don't know. I have a hard time letting go when the person hasn't addressed what they did and taken responsibility for what they put out into the world. Like even if it's been a while idk the passing of time just doesn't cut it for me.

I'm mostly irritated that Emma was named in the Panama papers. Like wtf?? There should've been more flack for that cause I don't buy her excuse either.

It's tough cause with most celebs I am like "eh they're a celeb they're not experts they learn and grow." But when ur in a position like Emma like... ur the face. U should know some basics.

so i was trying to find that quote and it sounds like that was the interviewer's perspective and not hers? i know it was reported like what you are saying, and the interview is formatted really weirdly (and not even live anymore...) but

    https://web.archive.org/.../02/tavi-gevinson-by-emma-watson/

I believe this was the interviewer's question: "So one last question, it’s a big one and I’m quite nervous to bring it up because I still haven’t really formulated my own ideas about it but [both laugh] Beyoncé’s new album.
I don’t know whether you have spoken to anyone about it, but my friend and I sat and we watched all the videos back to back and I really struggled and I was really conflicted because I was so blown away by it and I so admire her confidence to put her music out in that way, you know, in amidst all these very sensationalist sort of MTV performances, her just putting out her album, I was sort of so psyched about that. But as I was watching it I felt very conflicted, I felt her message felt very conflicted in the sense that on the one hand she is putting herself in a category of a feminist, you know this very strong woman and she has that beautiful speech in one of her songs but then the camera, it felt very male, such a male voyeuristic experience of her and I just wondered if you had thoughts about that or if you had any of your own thoughts about any of it really…"

and I think this was Emma's response: "That is very interesting and I have definitely been thinking about this since the album came out and for me, I feel, I really, I have so many thoughts I am trying to formulate them.

I think what makes it something that I find very inspiring and feminist and overused as this word is, empowering, I think the first thing is that she released it as an album all at once. They are not singles, you have to consider them as one big self-portrait .For me, what made the difference is that by now she is like in her thirties, she’s married, she has a kid. To me, she felt so in control of it and I don’t buy that “it’s empowering” argument when it comes down to a female pop star being implicitly sexual. For me, it takes a lot of convincing.

I mean I would not read Miley’s behaviour as empowering, but with Beyoncé’s album, I just felt such a sense of being obsessed with it and read all the interviews and whatever, so I felt that she was very in control of it and I also think that when she holds herself up in that way she is changing the standard of what we think of as beautiful in the centre of beauty, or sexually desirable and she expands it to include someone like herself, who is a woman of colour, and I find that so key."

not sure what she's referring to with Miley though.

Lisa Kudrow on Andy Cohen about the worst guest star on friends "The worst behavior just off the top of my head? I rehearsed without makeup most of the week and then on show night I'm in hair and makeup and I was told, ‘Oh wow, now you're'—can I say it? ‘Now you're f--kable,"

SOMEONE NEEDS TO HOLD ME BACK! Not Lisa, the national treasure of this lifetime. I DON'T THINK SO. Fighting words

Iknorite she invented Post-It Notes show some respect!

I know trying to figure out who it was isn't exactly helpful, on the other hand it's Sean Penn or Alec Baldwin right?
