Thanks to all of you. I was sleeping while you were having this conversation but I'm in a similar situation. We didn't kiss yet, but she seems so interested in me. I think I already talked about it last week, what changed since then is that some of our common friends are now making jokes like that we're in love or something like that lol. A bit embarassing, but yeah, as you said, I'm also overthinking it too much and should be patient. I just left my ex from what was a toxic relationship which destroyed me, and I also have so many problems concerning my family and my financial situation (which I brought up in the Mental thread I think ?), so yep, in my case it'd be wiser to be careful and to not let too much stress put me down. I feel like a name scrooge where I hate most things ppl name their kids. It took me like 2 years to accept my nephew's name lmao I would just call him Neph before. It's mostly spelling that bothers me. When I say a name I picture the spelling in my head so if the spelling is gross it kinda ruins it.

 

My girlfriend wanted a girl named Charlotte and we could call her Charlie. Until she realized my last name would make it Charlie Cleary and then that was shot. Haha

My mother got my name because it's the title of one of her favorite westerns of all time. I've never really minded it other than the occasional time where people have told me to "Come back!" Yes, I know it's the most iconic line of the movie, but it gets old real fast.

I would have been named Katie if I was a girl so I'm kinda glad I dodged that bullet though.

My name's Connor, gets confused with Colin all the time and consistently spelled wrong (Conner, Conor). Not sure what I would have been named if I was a girl but I do know my parents considered Spike for a hot minute.

 

Mine is Ian, I'll answer to Ethan or Evan though it's just easier than correcting people

 

I asked my parents what they'd name me if I was a girl and they claimed I'd be Emmanuel either way

 

I unfortunately have learned to answer to Travis. I've been called a few weird things over the phone though, like Aaron or Everett. Obviously some names are prone to error way more than others, the but fact is that people will butcher anything lol

 

My Roommates name is Alek, and if we go anywhere he has to give his name he just says Alex because people are gonna say that regardless.

 

One of my coworkers is named Justin so at work I go by Düstin to make clients pronounce it differently so they don't mix us up.
