I feel like Blurry is basically if 2013 era Balance and Composure or Citizen shot their hardest for radio play

 

They thought it was a good idea to play a censored version of She Fucking Hates Me at one of my middle school dances. Needless to say that didn't go well and everyone kept screaming SHE FUCKING HATES ME. So they made the DJ stop and yell at us for "filling in the bleeps" and then they actually thought we wouldn't do it again bc we were yelled at so they started the song up again. I think you can all guess how that went lol

yeah, as far as keeping a core sound but mixing things up every album. Really the thing that hooks me with every THS album is the story and the characters and all the references

 

I think I said this somewhere else, but I can seriously only name the artists I thoroughly and utterly hate on one hand. There are very few artists out that I genuinely hate enough to make me say "god turn it off" if I ever hear them. Is that weird? That's kind of weird, lol.

 

I can only enjoy Basement's first album..

 

There's a lot of artists I dislike but also won't really care if someone plays their music. Usually for me to be like eeeew turn it off, there has to be some real grating vocals to the point where I can't stand it or the person themselves is such an awful person I can't stand it, like Chris Brown or lost prophets something.

Or if it's country rap. A coworker tried to play that in the office once and omg I try not to discount entire genres but nooooooope

I wish it was nelly they were playing.

I like 2 of those 3. Not a ton, but enough.

The latest Train album is horrendous, but before that they werent too bad

 

Yea I do not get the hype for them. That freaking heathens song makes me want to rage

 

Their last album is still one of the worst things I've ever listened to, haha.

 

the only saving grace in this arguement for train is drops of Jupiter, and that's largely out of nostalgia.

And Kendrick killed that radioactive 'remix'.

But fuck the rest.

 

I didnt think either Imagine Dragons album was too bad, actually, and Train have had a couple albums I think are halfway decent. Neither is something I listen to regularly, but I can't in good conscience lump them with twenty one pilots.

 

twenty one pilots' biggest crime is their faux sincerity. The main dude there knows exactly what he's doing / selling and he knows that his main demographic is high school kids with disposable income. Terrible fucking band.

 

I'm not a 21P fan but how can you say that about them and not a million other bands that market to teens with disposable income? And what's wrong with that guy, did he like do or say something specific that deems him insincere?

 

The Radiohead talk was from a couple weeks ago but I just went straight through their discography uninterrupted.
