Think I'll use that towards Scorpio if it is tempting enough..

 

I'm confused with Zelda.

There's not temples? The shrines all look the same, are short, and use the magnet mechanic? Why haven't they shown anything about the towns or townspeople? The last one to a lesser extent since I'm supposing that theyre there but haven't been shown.

 

Aside from the repeatitive gameplay, I'm lovin' Dark Souls III so far.

There's dungeons in the game. There's lots of shrines and apparently they continuously throw new ideas and mechanics at you. They're short but there's like 120 of them in the game. There's also towns and from what I've heard they're like Clock Town from Majora but on a grander scale with people having their own schedule's and reacting to things. A lot of stuff is still under embargo though, people are supposed to be talking about/showing the first 5 hours only and there's still a huge list of stuff they're not supposed to talk about or show.

 

Cool on the towns. Not having seen a dungeon makes me extremely weary. I've read people saying that the mechanical monster things are the "dungeons" in the overworld, or that there's no dungeons, or its mostly shrines and less dungeons. And that would be shit if true. I really don't like what I've seen of the shrines at all and i can see that theyve focused on them, but if there's so many of them hopefully there will be good ones. I just really don't want it to be that most of the game takes place in the overworld. That is what most games are now. A big overworld open world environment with only small places to go into. I want huge awesome dungeons too.

 

There are real dungeons too, not just small ones.

 

If the "overworld beasts are the dungeons" thing is true then Horizon and new Zelda are remarkably similar. Very strange.

Side note: looking at Horizon and Zelda's visuals side by side is just... whoa thats some parity

Finished Mafia III today. I wish it was slightly less repetitive but the story was great and the gameplay was really fun. I can't decide which ending I like better between Lincoln leaving town and Vito taking over or Lincoln staying and them ruling together which is cool, usually in games with multiple endings I definitely know which one I prefer.

I still have Watch Dogs 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Dishonored 2, and Horizon: Zero Dawn (buying next week) to play, not sure which one I'll do first. For Tomb Raider and Dishonored I'll probably want to play the first ones again first. Are either of those games worth buying for the PS4 or should I just stick to the PS3 versions of both that I already own?

 

I'm not too worried about it. I think there will be more world to dungeon ratio in this game than other Zelda games but from the previews it seems like the world itself is pretty great. It just seems like they're being very secretive about this game. Like they don't even want people showing off certain outfits that you find near the beginning of the game so I'm not worried about not having seen a dungeon yet, I'm pretty happy about it honestly, get to go in fresh.

 

The remasters are better if you can get then cheap, especially Dishonored. However, you don't have to play then again. I'll think it'll actualy make the sequels less fun if you play the old ones right before them.

 

I finally found an NES Mini, lots of brick and mortar stores all over Europe seem to have them in stock now.

 

Yeah I just saw one in the flesh at a Grainger Games here. £50 though...

 

This one was 99€, my guess is the price went up in some regions

 

Thought I was in the Zelda thread for a second and was just about to get my coat.

 

I'm usually not a fan if buying on release day but I might buy Horizon Zero Dawn when it comes out.
