How much do you reckon shipping to the UK would be for both of them? Sorry if there's an easier way for me to find this out via ebay aha

Honestly not sure l. I have it set to the cheapest option. Probably $10-$20 if I had to guess.

Hmm, I'll have a think then. With exchange rates, that's like £25 for two shirts which seems pretty good to me.

It's the fact that it was during songs that I really wouldn't have said were my favourites of theirs that really hit me hard. Some of their newest record really just deserves a live setting- Stuff like I Don't Like Who I Was Then got me and I was so lukewarm to it when I first heard it.
Going to the gig has got me on a real Wonder Years listening spree this past week anyway. Normally I get it before a gig but I think the fact I hadn't listened to them in a while beforehand and the quality of their show has meant it's happening now. Speaks volumes to the quality of their playing!

I remember I drove 6+ hours to see the first night of that letlive. tour they did here last year. They opened with (I'm pretty sure?) I Don't Like Who I Was Then, and it sounded phenomenal live. A lot of these songs definitely deserve a live setting. From record to playing them live, these songs probably translate the best, especially something like Palm Reader which I think you saw as well!

Yup! It was great. I was sceptical when I saw they were opening with No Closer To Heaven (as much as I love that song) but it worked really well!

Kennedy also started a side project as well and Josh expanded Wax Bodega with a physical store.

When I heard about him opening a physical store for Bodega, I fully expected it to be another Philly based record store. For once, it's a location that I'm an hour from. I went a few days ago to get a ticket for the free Aaron West show tomorrow at the store.

The store is a one minute drive from my apartment I'm so stoked. I'm gonna end up spending a ton of money, lots of great stuff in there

If it's a one minute drive why not save gas and walk?

30 minute walk in winter isn't too much fun you feel. I guess it's more like a 3 minute drive depending on lights lol

I'm excited for a new angry political TWY record. That's what I want.

  14. Honestly I feel like that's what we were going to get regardless, y'know? Soupy's moved in the direction of mixing the personal and relatable stuff with more politically-driven lyrics, but even if there was a Clinton in the White House again, there are things about America that anyone will tell you are dysfunctional and just plain fucked. With Trump in there, though... I think an angry, political TWY album is what we need, yeah.

Absolutely. A trump presidency, and everything that's gone down gives a lot of inspiration material. Almost like a TGG pt 2 if you will.

I'd love to see a song with Justin Sane of Anti Flag in the same style of Stained Glass Ceilings. Or shit get Jason Butler again.

Justin Sanes voice is so shot I think I would hate that collab haha

Chris #2 would be cool though

Oh yes. I can't wait to hear new songs. Curious where they sign for this record, too.

I'm betting they stay on hopeless. Only thing I can see is they maybe go to an Epitaph otherwise I don't think there is anything much bigger that can go to.

Yeah that's about my thought. Not sure where else they'd go.

They could probably go for something Fueled By Ramen sized but I just don't know what would be a proper fit for them. Epitaph doesn't quite feel right.

Maybe Epitaph from a few years back but plenty of the bands they came up with are now all on the label. They've got Defeater, Joyce Manor, Letlive, Pianos Become The Teeth, The Menzingers, TWIABP, and Touche Amore. Though if Epitaph didn't have Falling In Reverse I'd call it a no-brainer.

Weird, I knew at least 4 of those bands were on the label and it didn't even click with me. Perceptions take a while to change I guess, haha. How big are Epitaph these days? I had them on a par with Fearless which seems like a pretty marginal step up.

They've kind of sneakily picked up most of the "Emo Revival" bands that got attention from Pitchfork. A bunch of career bands with solid fanbases like Alkaline Trio and Every Time I Die. Then scene moneymakers like A Day To Remember and Sleeping With Sirens. I doubt there's much of a difference between Hopeless and Epitaph in size. I "think" Epitaph has more of an influence with older fans where Hopeless is more on the younger side but that's just a guess from me.

They don't seem poppy enough for a FBR band. Also isn't Epitaph the largest independent label? If they had gotten even bigger off of NCTH I'd say they could get a major but it seems like they sort of stalled. Who knows about this stuff though.

  25. Jamie Dagg

Master of not knowing what the hell I'm doing.

I would've agreed about them being too poppy, but then again Basement and The Front Bottoms are both on FBR now, so who knows. All Time Low made the move from Hopeless to them too, so it isn't like there isn't a precedent for it.
