Mmmm... Delicious Advil!!

 

I think I am gonna get some pizza later.

 

My roommate and his family have a charity basketball tournament they've done for the past two summers and last year they asked me to make a playlist for the after party. Obvi I put the SJ theme on it and everyone there went wiiiild for it.

 

If I walk down the aisle at my wedding, I want them to play the Space Jam theme. Fuck off "Here Comes The Bride"

 

I want Ave Maria to play when I get married lol.

That'd be the most amazing wedding ever. Weddings with traditional songs are boring. I'm walking down the aisle to For You I Will by Teddy Geiger and nobody will tell me different! And on the way back down after the ceremony CRJ's Run Away With Me will be played. Hypothetical potential future husband will deal. They should just be glad I showed some tackiness restraint and won't be walking down to Hero by Enrique tbh!

 

Some dude that I barely know and have never searched just showed up on my people you might know list on Facebook. What's up with that? Did it search my phone contacts or what?

 

I mean, my wedding will already probably be a little out there anyway. I'm not sure what the logistics will be to be honest. But there will be good music. I want to hand pick the playlist for the reception (assuming we have one) with whoever my wife ends up being and make sure it's all songs that mean something to us for some reason or another. It's gonna be super sappy and I'm probably going to cry for a month before and a month after

 

Probably. A professor of mine recently was added to that list of people may know, and his immediate family as well. Facebook is fucking weird.

 

Jesus. I knew it was a ridiculous site, but not this bad. Can't even hide from people these days.

 

I had sent an email to him asking for some assistance on some computer programming that I was writing and 30 minutes later, he appeared on Facebook.

 

You're nicer than me lol. I refuse to let my maybe future spouse pick any of it out. Sorry, it has already been chosen!! If I do get married I wouldn't want it to be traditional at all tho. Like I don't get the point of bridesmaids and groomsmen. Seems like a waste of time and energy. I just wanna get in then out and eat good food.

 

I mean, if I'm marrying someone, I'm assuming I'll trust them to collaborate haha. I also could end up marrying a girl who overrules me completely on everything haha. I'm a hopeless romantic though so I doubt it

and then it just suggested Donald Trump's page for me. It's getting worse by the minute.

 

I have reserved the right to pick the first dance song. I'll gladly take over the rest of the wedding if I need to because I love design and planning, but I'm assuming my future wife has a Pinterest board rarin' to go.

 

Oh yeah, I forget we're opposites! I'm not romantic at all so I don't see myself marrying someone who is romantic enough to care which songs are played? Like the songs I want are because I really like them, not cause they're meaningful to me. idk honestly I don't really see myself getting married at all haha. But I do like parties where I get to look really good and yummy food is provided so I like to think about that aspect lol.

 

Yeah and another part of it for me, and I know not everyone feels this way and that's 100% understandable, is that I'm just excited I actually can get married now. I like the idea of marriage (again, I understand and respect why anyone wouldn't) and I was worried I'd never have that option. So I'm excited I get to do it at all

 

That's totally understandable! I think it's really nice that you want a wedding and to collaborate with your partner. I'm sure it'll be lovely. Especially if Space Jam is involved tbh!!

If I get married I just worry that my family (lbr, my mom) will interfere and make it more traditional than I want, or make it about family politics and have me invite ppl I don't care about. But lol @ me worrying about it when it's not even close to happening even a little bit.

 

Not exactly sure what my wedding song will be, but the song for the entrance at the reception will be the band playing "Stolen" by Dashboard, in which me and my bride both join the band and take turn doing solos. Then we will have our first dance.

 

I have anxiety about the guest list and it's been years since I've actually been in a relationship haha. I get that. Families are tough. Weddings are tough. But fun.

Also I'd want to get married in my gma's backyard cause her house is very sentimental to me but behind her backyard is a very busy strip where lots of sirens are always going off and there's a giant Fatburger sign so idk how to reconcile that lmao

 

My fam kills it at weddings, so no worries here.
