I don't see Punk coming back anytime soon, but this is a positive step to maybe restoring any sort of talks between the two.

 

I think even that's a reach, he's friends with Rock, Rock will do anything for a pop
It's not like Punk hates everyone in WWE, he's still friends with a lot of guys

I don't think it's gonna happen, not a chance, i'm just having fun with it. But c'mon The Rock could shit his pants and get a pop. He can literally do anything and the crowd goes nuts.

I remember when the crowd wouldn't stop with "WE WANT RYDER!" so he gave him a shoutout too.

The crowd was chanting for Punk so he ran with it. Nothing more, nothing less.

He was talking about AJ, so they started the Punk chant, because WWE crowds are the worst

 

There was that rumor for WM that Meltzer and Alvarez talked about a month ago, but said they wouldn't hint at it because it's so awesome they want it to happen.....

 

I keep telling myself Punk isn't coming back, but damn it I want him to so bad. If he did, he'd get the biggest pop in history,

 

They also talk about a 'huge surprise'.

 

If I were there live when he returned, I really would be unable to compose myself. Like I would sprint around the Arena 5 times screaming. I think.

 

Oh me too. I often wonder if it ever enters his mind about coming back ? Like seeing how the fans love him and whatnot, obviously it all depends on Vince too.

 

Can't wait for @bones to give us shit all the way up until mania for being dirty marks and then collapsing on his sword when Cult of Personality hits.

 

Yeah he just seems so damn principled I really think it would take a gigantic apology from Vince for him to come back. Even if Vince did apologize big time, I don't know if that would be enough. He can just have it firmly set in his head he is never coming back. Ugh.

I think its Harper, but AJ makes sense too if they're really going with AJ/Shane

 

I'd have to imagine that if and when Punk does eventually return, that it would take place in Chicago. Would love it if Chicago got the Royal Rumble in 2019 (since Philly has the 2018 RR). Would be the loudest reaction ever if Cult of Personality hits at number 30. And if Punk decides not to come back you could still have the loudest reaction ever by having Roman Reigns come out at 30.

 

I don't know man, PROGRESS has some great ones. Rampage Brown comes out to I Will Be Heard by Hatebreed and the whole place starts raging. Gets the blood going.

 

The rock is a special kind of guy, he doesn't do much in the public eye. You don't hear him on a lot of wrestling mark shows, he doesn't have a podcast, he hasn't even been in the ring in a year and his circles tend to be small. That's the only significance it has, it's not like they're bffs. He could've called anyone to get a pop.
