I feel like the only one around here that doesn't like Left Alone pretty much at all. It's not a bad song, just very bland imo. I wish I could see it like you all do though

I've noticed they stopped playin No Future in the setlist, I don't think it's been played since the Nashville shos back in August(I could have missed a show or two on setlist that had it). I wonder why? Damn shame because it's a surprisingly fun song live.

 

Yes it was.... it was great in my drunken haze at the Vegas show

 

In my slightly heat exhausted state in Nashville it was surreal, especially the whole pit doing the gang vocal chant all at once. That was fun

 

Same day as Linkin Park I guess. Not planning to buy LP based on the first single though lol

 

I kinda like the new LP song haha. I thought their last album was terrible, but this is pretty catchy.

 

I'm the reverse I liked 75% of the last album, but this new song made me....bored? Confused? Couldn't even tell it was Chester singing for the first 30 seconds I thought it was a fake clip lol

 

Kinda funny that Travis wasn't even on that album

 

Yeah they for whatever reason used No Future as the song to switch out on the set list for San Diego. I wish I got to see them play No Future live but can't complain about hearing San Diego.

 

They did San Diego for our sound check that same day. I like both songs but I'm glad I got no future, it was one of the California songs I wanted played

 

After hearing the new Linkin single they may not need to bother competing with that album

 

At this point in time, I just want the Paramore album lol.

I didn't get what was going on either....I heard the DJ say their new song was on next, so I thought it was going to be after this God awful song they started playing and then come to realize the God awful song was new Linkin Park. Oh well...I'm not a huge fan of Linkin Park but I didn't expect this.....

 

Hahaha. Not even second rate Bieber, they're bloody channeling Chainsmokers ft. Halsey fifth rate Biebz!! (Which name drops blink-182 mindyou in it!)

 

Haha yeah sounds right. I just watched the rest of the video. Didn't finish it the first time. Lol I hate it so much. At least when they tried different things before it felt like a reach or a risk. This is just bland generic pop that is nowhere near what other pop is that is out there.

Truth though. A Thousand Suns a decade ago while I didn't like it it was original and pushing the boundaries. This tune is just jumping aboard what sold lots of units last year, jumping on the trend

 

I'm gonna say for what feels like the hundredth time today that the new LP song is not very different from any of the quieter, poppier songs on MTM, ATS, or LT, and I'm still confused as to why it's getting specific backlash for being "generic". Dislike it all you want, but I still don't think this is a surprising song to hear from them.

And LP is one of the last bands I'd expect to trend hop. Ever since moving away from nu metal they've consistently done what they want to do regardless of whether people like it.
