yes, but he wasn't happy with how the shipping company was handling their product, so he's suspended shipping for now while he finds something better. Right now, he's just doing kegs in the Tampa and Orlando areas.

I had been bartending on the weekends and then brewing 1-2 times a week. In 2-3 weeks though, I'll be moving to the sales rep side of things since we've been sending kegs out to the market for the last month or so and it's that time to have someone from the brewery be following up with bars instead of just our distributor. I'm hopeful to keep at least a once-a-week brew shift as that's where I really wanted to be, but the sales side will allow more growth and money in a quicker route than sticking with the brewing -- we have another dude who also brews 1-2 times a week and my boss can fill in on any day that we aren't there (though he typically doesn't.)

I had a handshake deal to interview/get a production brewing job at another brewery in town who are probably the biggest -- they're all over the state now, they're going to hire their second sales rep and are loading up on 30 bbl fermenters and have only been open for 18 months -- but I like the flexibility I currently have to basically do whatever I want. That and I have a big impact on what gets brewed, what goes on tap, what hits distro, etc. My boss has finally started to trust and delegate which is fantastic. I'm the only other person brought in to taste when beers are right and often consulted on ideas for one-off's to fill out the bottom half of our menu. There's a lot I'd like to change, and I would learn more brewing-wise at a place like Ellison Brewery in Lansing, but I wouldn't have the impact there that I have at my current job.
Ah, damn. Wish I had pulled the trigger on some of those beers months ago when he was doing shipping. What specifically was he upset with? I love the idea of a start up shipping beers in online orders. I saw an interview with a rep from Cascade and they mentioned that was a massive part of expanding their brand 5-6 years ago before the government stepped in and was like "nah, you can't do this."

Sunday Morning Stout hit a lot of stores today by me, going to grab a 4 pack for sure.

Here in New Mexico you can get as much KBS as you want (at least last year). The only beer that is usually limited is Bourbon County.

Good luck, I hope you get tickets. I've tried for like 2-3 years, but they sell out by the time I refresh the page.
We have Sunday Mole Stout four packs still just sitting on the shelves around me and I'm always so tempted to buy them. If I had a basement, I 100% would've bought some. Stoked for some Sunday Morning; always love comparing it to KBS each year.

Yeah, I'm hoping to get lucky, I've struck out the past two years too. They've upped the allotments this year too, so maybe there's more to go around?

I always see Sunday Mole Stout at a couple of stores but have yet to pick them up. I wish I had more space to store beers too haha, my fridge is packed right now

Drank an entire Deth's Tar yesterday. Much more drinkable immediately than years past imo

Had a bunch of trillium beers yesterday. They were good but nothing really stood out from other beers of the same quality.

in his case, everything was legal - he was just having issues with the shipper. things weren't getting shipped on time. i remember once, some friends and i went in on a case of stuff before a long weekend. even if processing had taken a day or two, we should've gotten everything that Friday before the weekend started. it didn't even ship before Friday. Things like that. Makes his brand look bad, so he just nixed the whole process for now until he can revisit that and get it sorted properly. The beer is great, too!

One of the best (store bought) "first try" beers I've had in awhile.

are we still lucky to be here? Prestigious

I wish I could still stomach an entire bomber of a 10% stout. I can't do it anymore.

With that being said, all of the Deth variants this year (regular, Cafe, Cherry) were absolutely on point though. I'd put them just below Bourbon County in terms of local BA stouts.

This just reinforces the fact I need to make it a point to get out to their brewpub here in the city at some point. Ugh. I shouldn't be wanting beers like this at 9 AM in the morning.

Really digging the new Untappd design. When I look up a beer I can see exactly what @bigmike thinks about it haha.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who looks to see what Mike thinks about beers before I buy sometimes haha
