Can I vote the rest of Monopoly out of the game?

 

Monopoly is fun... If you have an entire day to play

 

I like Monopoly

 

Lords of Vegas is a better monopoly.

Me too, never heard of it. Anyone played Fortune Street for Wii? Monopoly on juice w/ Mario & Square Enix characters. It's awesome.

 

Haven't played that but we are big Mario Party fans

 

In terms of economic games Lords of Vegas and Power Grid are good options. (Power Grid is a bit weightier)

 

Just did our second scenario of Mansions of Madness 2nd Edition. BUY THIS GAME. We lost and I was so sad that it was over.

 

Payday next week! It means that monthy decide what game to buy next meeting is happening in my head. I honestly have no idea this time, I'm sure something will stick out though.

Played Great Western Trail for the first time last night. Took a bit of getting my head around, lots of reading required in the rules, but after a couple of turns it made sense. It's honestly a great game, lots of viable strategies, simple to pick up and really fun to play. We didn't finish a full game due to time, but I could start to feel things were building quickly. Can't wait to play again.

Legendary is pretty cool. I just wish there were more characters and less of the same character with different point values and abilities.

 

Also let us know how that Welcome to the Dungeon is, that is pretty cheap if I remember correctly, and it looks cool.

 

Any other D&D players here? A new group at work is getting together this week to play our first session and I'm unbelievably excited.

 

not OP, but I own WttD and am a fan!

the logic of it can take a round or two to adjust to. doesn't exactly make sense the until you see it in action. it's a fun quick & easy game - wouldn't base an entire night around it (a round is pretty short and you'll get burned out after a few), but it's a fun warm-up or cool-down in context of a larger game night OR an easy game to throw in your bag for a picnic/airport/etc.

also, the feeling of finally making it through the dungeon is hella satisfying.

Going through a couple of campaigns for the first time myself

 

Terraforming Mars just arrived. Can't wait to play it, might have to skip dinner tonight.

 

I'm rather new, but I love it. I've played through a mini campaign that was officially published (Murder at Baldur's Gate), and actually DM'd a 3 session story after that went surprisingly well. My girlfriend started DMing Curse of Strahd two weeks ago, that's been a fun one as a player.

I'm gonna start a pen and paper RPG thread. I think it's different enough to warrant it's own discussion and will hopefully get some people out of the woodwork.

 

That's awesome! I recently started playing with some coworkers after I found the Twitch show Critical Role and watched them play for months. D&D is awesome.
