Just finished the game Candleman on the ONE. Really great game that should not be missed for any fan of platformers. It takes about 5 hours to complete, has graphics on par with a Disney film and a really interesting ending. The only downside being missable collectibles but you can do chapter select and the levels are super short.

I'm enjoying Mafia 3 but does it get less repetitive later on? Right now it seems to be in the pattern of meet new person, clear two areas for them by doing various missions like killing people or destroying stuff, then killing the boss guy

 

Nah that's pretty much it. Story is great though

 

That's it. I like the loop though because the gameplay is great.

Finished Sherlock Holmes vs Jack The Ripper last night and honestly it was kinda difficult. I think I enjoy the most recent ones more than the last gen ones

k so yakuza 0 is the first open world game where i've become obsessed with side missions. I have currently spent 15+ hours of only building my real estate buisness with kiryu without doing a single main-story mission . There is no stopping till i get 100% in every district.

 

Idk why Mafia 3 got so much crap for repetition when Shadow of Mordor was just as guilty.

Beat Rise of the Tomb Raider. Great game, liked it as much as the first reboot.

Now playing through Dishonored Definitive Edition, game is hard as shit.

 

$14.99 which is a little pricey but I guarantee that you will not be disappointed Probably one of the best platformers I have played in a while.

 

I think that label of repetition can be applied to MOST games in a sandbox/open world style

 

watch dogs 2 was not repetitive
neither was skyrim

I have yet to play Watchdogs 2 and although I really enjoyed 1, there were some times I was saying to myself: "Am I having deja vu?!"

 

that's nice, that's why i mentioned 2 and not 1
