The foam ear plugs are really bad for your ears. Vic Firth and Zildjian both have great, safer reusable pairs that don't distort the sound as much for around $15-$20

 

I decided to finally give ear plugs a shot going to this Underoath concert in a few weeks.

 

Dammit, that's what I've been using. How/why are they bad?

 

They can cause earwax impaction (they can push ear wax further down the war canal causing blockages)

 

I swear by Zildjian forever

 

I'm guessing noise-canceling ear-buds aren't the same thing?

 

I believe they can cause the same issues. But speaking specifically about plugs, the foam plugs can do a lot of damage. Typically the reusable ones (or customs if you can afford) are safer

 

Being early means drinking by yourself. Good times.

I have some reusable earplugs that I got for about $10 that I use for drumming, but would also work well for concerts. I could never get the foam ones to stay in my ears.

 

I think the job hunt it getting to me extra hard these days because here I am researching jobs in Antarctica and Wwoof-ing.

 

I'm at a baseball game right now, the only sport more boring to watch than this is golf.

Long stem downbeats are what I use now and they're awesome and affordable.

Alright so let's say hypothetically there is a poster who lurks certain threads like idk maybe political threads mostly to learn from the more intelligent people who post in them.

Should that person "like" posts in those threads like a weird creepy guy who kinda just sits in the corner of the room and everyone knows he's there but he doesn't actually say anything?

Or should that person just lurk and leave like a spirit in the night that is neither seen nor heard?

Yeah, because otherwise it would fire multiple notifications if you edited a post and had already tagged someone and they got a notification.

 

I think it isn't creepy if you "like" things, just shows you're reading but don't have anything to add at the moment

Nah it's my current job, they flipped my schedule on me bigtime and as much as it sucks I'm just trying to stick with it for now

 

I may or may not be having a minor meltdown because the PowerPuff Girl PJ bottoms I've had since the 6th grade (like 17 years!!)..have a hole in one of the seams. I'm doing emergency surgery right now with a needle and thread. What if this means I can't wear them anymore if I want to keep them forever?!??!!
