I don't think we're going to the 'ship or anything. I think we'll do better than last year. The Braves don't look awful at all. They've blown these 1st 3 games that should have been W's. Maybe they're not totally comfortable with each other yet? I dunno. I don't think you can damn a team already after 3 games.

 

But their roster is worse, how can they be better?

 

Swisher signing a minors deal with the Yanks. The Swisher Salute is back!

 

Hmm. I'm surprised he still tries to play with those knees but I think I'd take him as the backup first baseman over Ackley lol. Except Ackley has a little versatility.

 

Ugh Swisher. He's always been one of those players I've never liked, I still don't know what it is.

 

Agreed, and I hope nobody thinks I was saying they'll be competitive this year. I was talking 2017, and in only taking competitive for a WC spot. Not that they'll get one, but that they'll have themselves in a decent position to possibly get one.

I think this team years team can be better than last years, if they can figure out the rotation. We will see. It's going to be hard for them to be worse than the team we saw in the second half of last season.

 

Give it time I'm sure it'll work out. Rangers bullpen has been atrocious and our rotation has put up QS every game once everything starts clicking it'll be better.

Thanks for that BTW! Even though we only have 1 piece left and most hate him and his contract. So far he's looked great this year.

 

This Yanks lineup may put up a lot of runs this season

 

Long as they rest. Saw alot of people whining about Girardi resting three guys at once but do people not remember how useless that lineup was at the end of the year? Loving Castro and this Torreyes looks like a real good utility guy. They've definitely improved over last year when they were 2nd or 3rd in runs scored and that obviously includes the slump at the end. Gardner and A-Rod especially will definitely need to be managed more to keep them fresh.

From what I gathered listening to the radio PBP of last series Teixeria is still pretty vital to that Yankee lineup

 

He's basically their top slugger so ya

i still can't believe someone fell for paying Sandoval. ANDDD that same team fell for Hanley in the same year!!! Amazing, amazing.

 

I mean, no one thought that Sandoval would be this bad this quicky or that Hanley would be completely incapable of tracking fly balls but w/e.

 

Boy, Starlin Castro has 1,000 hits and they just said he is a couple days younger than Jeter when he got to that number.

 

I love Nick Swisher and was super bummed about how his Yankee tenure ended. This is almost perfect because it's the type of situation where it's totally up to him and he'll only end up in the Bronx if a. HE is good and b. they need him. He's got an opt out for June 15, so if it doesn't work, no harm done, and if it does, it means that he was the right solution to whatever problem pops up. Good for him, i hope he does well.

 

That is hard to believe but incredible.

 

Hoping for the Giants/Dodgers game to start soon.

Was thinking of getting Mets tickets for tonight. But even with no rain its going to be at least 39 degrees at citi field

 

Just watched Fastball, great doc.

 

I'm still hopeful for Hanley. He hit well until he ran into that wall. And the changes in his swing look nice so far this year. Plus putting him at first is a much less moronic move.

 

Nats got postponed, guess I'll watch LA/SF.
