Okay the fact that you were into the most obscure song on the list makes me very happy. Haha

I'm going to add one song that isn't necessarily similar to The 1975, but if you like those horns you have to hear:

Sheena Easton - "Back in the City"

  5. oh damn yes I'm groovin

that synthesizer in the bridge too. this is awesome

She's one of the 80s' best kept secrets, imo.

Which is, of course, a Sheena Easton pun nobody but me is going to get. It's a lonely life as an 80s nerd. Haha

I've been listening to this pretty damn consistently since the leak and I've still yet to find anything I truly consider to be a flaw during its runtime. I feel like I come away from each listen with something new to love.

After first, I wasn't big in Loving Someone but then it really connected after several listens, and now it's one of my favorites.

I can definitely understand why some wouldn't be too big on it.

It is impossible for me not to dance when The Sound comes on. The piano is great and the lead up to the solo (and the actual solo) is phenomenal.

  11. The pre chorus is their most addicting moment hands down

This record would be great if it had like four fewer songs on it.

  13. disagree. I think the length is totally justified here, every song serves a very important purpose to the whole. the record is an event and it all works toward that feeling.

which songs would you cut though?

A Change of Heart is the only song I hate, then probably The Sound, This Must Be My Dream, Paris. Or swap one of those for one of the instrumentals.

i cant get over how good this album is lol

  21. The album feels a lot shorter to me after repeated listens. Obviously that's due to familiarity and obviously I want more new tracks like asap and obviously I know they have to take 2 years to decide another new color scheme before they begin writing new material.

I was indifferent on first listen, but then I realized I had about half of the songs stuck in my head. It gets better and better with each listen for sure. I love this album.

  23. One of those albums you just want to live in for a while.

It never really felt to long for me. I was actually more worried about how they would handle the long songs (I Believe; I like it when you sleep) before hearing the album, and they nailed them.
