I totally get what you mean. I really think we are good though. Remember that Indtagram post of Vin standing outside the studio and it said "searching for #5"? I dunno I can't wait for the roll out to start

 

i feel like even if they did plan on releasing an album, they would just drop it no notice.

 

once a roll out starts ill be so excited.

 

If you'd have told me a couple years ago that Blink would release a new album with Matt Skiba before Brand New released a new album I'd have laughed in your face.

Sometimes I wish they were a little more like a traditional band when it comes to updates,etc. Believe it or not they sort of used to be. Way more than now at least.

 

Jason has said that he's heard demos, so there are definitely songs that exist, haha.

 

I remember those days. I remember the Deja rollout and back when they used to do interviews with Alternative Press.

I also don't think they are as cryptic as they are made out! Like they aren't gonna just drop the album out of nowhere I don't feel like. Who knows I could be wrong though.

 

Also they were in a studio recording in November.

The length of time we've waited for LP5, it will be polarizing no matter what.

 

It's crazy to me that it's already been a year since Mene and how drastically differently I feel about if and when we will get anything. I know they have announced some kind of release in the P!MT newsletter but still I can't help but be doubtful despite that.

 

I doubt they'd ever do it but I can't help but think one day I'm going to wake up or get out of work to see Brand New released an album out of nowhere. I can dream, right??

Yeah I agree with people saying hey arnt as cryptic as they're made out to be. I honestly think they just made a decision that their band is going to be 100% about making music together and playing it live. They've literally cut everything else out that would usually accompany that, so I think it comes off as cryptic when in reality, it's just how they handle their band.



However, the P!MT news letter was cryptic lol

 

I don't even remember the DAGARIM or Daisy roll outs really. How did those happen?

I think I remember Jason posting on AP about the single from Daisy maybe a day before it was released on Amazon, and then a month later we had an album or something.

 

For Daisy, Brand New we're in the studio in the spring of '09, and all throughout the summer we heard bits and pieces of a couple songs at Jesse and Vinnie's acoustic shows.

Hints of an album name, and one head can never die, which they changed to Daisy(the very next day I believe). I think the album name was "exclusively" revealed here, which is what made the quick name change so funny.

Got a single, At the Bottom, which premiered with some Pennsylvania radio station in early August. Album leaked in early September, and released on the 22nd.

Preorders were up in early August I believe too. I was literally the #1 order with MerchDirect (which I hold unenviable and pointless pride for).

 

the original name was supposed to be announced here and then they undermined it by announcing it at the show. then AP got the exclusive when the name changed

Off topic but I was talking with my boyfriend about keeping up with our favorite bands and I was like "well it's really easy to keep up with brand new...because there isn't anything to keep up with." haha and that describes life as a brand new fan. Impossible to miss news because it is so rare, it's always a big deal.

 

I told them it's ok to release something now cause I think our servers can handle it and I wanna make a post with a big Brand New image on the site.

 

Oh good. Now that they have your blessing we can expect an announcement any day now (but really)

 

I gave them permission too, on account of me being ready. I can handle it, emotionally, physically, and philosophically.

 

Haha maybe this is what they needed to stop second guessing themselves like Keegan hinted at. I anxiously await the huge announcement

i remember thing "and one head can never die" was such an awesome and epic name, and feeling so dissapointed when they changed it to Daisy.

I also remember when they released 30 seconds of At The Bottom and I had friends that remembered I lived Brand New from high school texting me telling me it was horrible, and I couldn't figure out what was so bad about it. Then when he whole song came out they all liked it. That ended being the only song in Daisy my friends liked.

I started off liking the album and was always having to defend it.
