Been digging through the small font and I've been finding a lot of gems. Car Seat Headrest, Mitski, Klangstof and Real Estate have won me over.

well yeah, mitski, car seat, and real estate are three of the best bands on the bill haha. that's the fest actually getting bands that have put out really great music over the last several years rather than just generic festival filler

Imagine cWhit-fest, I think I'd keel over and die if I went to that

Not a whole lot on this card that I'd care to see. Can't imagine being too happy dealing with the crowds and stuff for the bands I'd actually want to see.

no one who made music before 2005 would be able to play

I mean, like, PUP got hype this year. modern baseball got hype this year. Julien Baker is getting signed to a huge label. Porches had a big year. I don't love any of those acts, but I'm surprised that there are so few acts in that vein playing this

    Maybe so, maybe not.

That 2015 lineup featuring our scene was just too good to ever happen again I gusss.

Isn't he the owner of AEG? He owns MUCH more than Coachella (second biggest music and sports presenter other than Live Nation)

Yeah he's the AEG owner. I don't know why everyone keeps focusing on the Coachella part....pretty sure he owns every sports team you like.

Coachella is the easy punching bag, and no one is going to boycott the Vegas shows, sports teams or venues that AEG represents

Yeah, that dude is such a successful piece of shit that if no one ever gave him another dime from this second forward he'd still die in a pile of money. Best a person can do is use his name as an example in discussions about prejudice and hate, and support the LBGTQ artist and athletes he indirectly funds.

I think it's worth researching the topic and everyone making their decisions, Pitchfork has a really good breakdown of the whole thing

Coachella’s Controversial Owner: What You Need to Know | Pitchfork

My personal thoughts are that the dude is trash and it's unfortunate he is a billionaire. I wish there was a way for Paul Tolett and Coachella & all the other festivals to succeed from the AEG blanket, but that can't be done in a snap. I truly believe that the people who actually work with Coachella don't believe the same things as the billionaire at the top of the hill

Looking at the Panorama lineup there's definitely some things I wish ended up here but oh well there's always FYF

Also, some dude I follow on Twitter was super against Coachella with the whole AEG thing but I guess he's excited for Panorama lol

I would have LOVED for A Tribe Called Quest to be at Coachella, but I guess they wanted their first show back to be a hometown show. Also jealous about Nine Inch Nails, Frank Ocean, Tame Impala, Angel Olsen and Alt J.

Also, the more I dive into the Coachella lineup the more I'm loving it. There are a lot of promising alternative/rock acts buried in the bottom lines. I feel like this year has the most tiny font acts that will graduate to the bold lines in a few years.

From what I've read her due date should fall somewhere between mid July and early August.

I say extremely low for a few reasons.

    1. She is an incredibly smart businesswoman, and she knew she was pregnant when the lineup was about to drop. She would have dropped out before the lineup instead of having this be a mistake
    2. Just because the photo was posted today does not mean it was taken today. the photo honestly could be pretty old, there have been no paparazzi photos of her in a while.
    3. Even if pregnant during Coachella, she is a beast, probably the last person in the world who would let a pregnancy get in her way.

and I could also be wrong

I hope they make a statement asap over whether or not she'll stay

FWIW I have never seen an actual statement made from Coachella about anything, anyone added or dropped just happens on the poster. I think there obviously would be SOMETHING if she has to drop, but if she doesn't then I'd bet they stay silent
