I know I'm a weird weird person apparently. I feel like alot of their stuff isn't aging well. Its the kinda thing I get embarrassed when hearing some of it. And on their newer stuff I think theyre doing a lot of the same things and it feels sorta redundant.

 

All their albums since white pony have been distinctly different from the last, it's quite easy to hear

 

So I guess I should feel super embarrassed they're my favorite band then

 

they are amazing

I know few bands that are as consistent in releasing amazing and different sounding albums

 

I'm just offering up an alternative opinion. I'm not trying to jab anyone promise you that. Hope that's agreeable

Deftones fell off a bit with Gore. It's definitely weaker than diamond eyes and Koi no yokan.

The new Great Old Ones is a banger if you like atmospheric black metal.

 

It's way better than koi but DE is their best imo

 

They've gone even more down the path of being the deathcore Gojira

 

I'll fight anyone who criticises Adrenaline. Not really near their best but an outstanding record all the same.

 

agreed - it's one of their weaker ones, actually ( their best - fight me)

Gore is my second favorite from them at this point. I know the production/mixing leaves more to be desired, but the songwriting on that album really does it for me. I love that they leaned on their atmospheric side a little more this time around. Reminds me a lot of SNW.

 

It has better production than koi

 

I remember popping into the KNY review thread back on AP because somebody posted comparison pics to show how compressed to shit that album was and I would lol every time
