Only canned food I usually buy is beans, fruit (in juice, not syrup), and various tomato products (paste, stewed tomatoes, Rotel, etc)

I buy frozen corn, broccoli, and peas

 

Oh ha I was picturing using a can as a bowl and I was like..wut..why? Nooooow I get it.

I mean there's people that buy mostly canned stuff. I don't get it now we've got good produce and it's mostly cheap across the board (some things aren't I know).

Like looking at that pic with canned pineapple. Fresh pineapple shits all over canned.

Things like canned beans or mandarin oranges are kinda there own thing now and I get that

 

I buy the pineapple that Safeway cuts in the back of the store cause I'm too lazy to cut and/or core pineapple myself. I'm assuming Wal Mart does not cut theirs fresh in the back lol cause I'll forget and get their cut up pineapple sometimes and OMG it's the worst.

 

I don't really like a lot of fresh fruit. I like raspberries, blackberries, cherries, blueberries, pomegranate.

Oranges give me heartburn everytime. I don't drink orange juice unless it's blood orange bc if it's blood orange I will stand the pain bc it's not sold here.

I like white grapefruit which is apparently rare and my dad's bff has a white grapefruit tree and a lemon tree. You're not supposed to mix grapefruit and antidepressants so I don't eat it anymore.

I wish they would take those disgusting peeled grapes out of my fruit cocktail and add more cherries.

Y'all prob get tired of hearing it but free produce bc I live in an agricultural region is a blessing.

Ya'll need to buy dried beans. Canned beans aren't as nutritious and dried beans are way cheaper. It's a tad more work for dried beans because you have to soak them in water overnight but I think it's worth it.

Also, I'm having Little Caesar's tonight because Molly accidentally transferred some money onto her Hoot Loot card, which is like her University's payment card, and one of the only places that will take it is Little Caesar's.

 

My mom only buys dry beans.

I actually really like Little Caesar's deep dish pizza.

 

Papa John's cheeseburger pizza was sent from the heavens. Pizza Hut is one of my least favorites bc they put way too much sauce and the sauce is kinda sweet. No thanks.

 

I ate a lot of lil Caesars in my first year of college. I still stan their crazy bread. Our best pizza place is this delish cafe/wine place downtown. My fave is

OLIVE OIL AND GARLIC SAUCE, MOZZARELLA, GOAT CHEESE, ROASTED SWEET RED PEPPERS, WITH MIXED GREENS, ROMA TOMATOES AND ASIAGO AFTER BAKE, DRIZZLED WITH BALSAMIC REDUCTION

Mine too tbh!! I rarely get it cause it's pricy and people from high school like to congregate there haha. it was the first time I ever tried goat cheese!

 

I don't wanna deal with soaking or cooking beans ok

Same with preparing pineapple. the canned stuff is fine

I say this but at the same time I have no conviction and we'll probably but that stuff next time I'm at the store

 

I get fresh cut up pineapple sometimes when I don't feel like cutting it myself. Sometimes it's really cheap and sometimes it's not I know. If all you've got for produce is just Whole Foods yeah that's pricy

 

I'm just imagining high school kids congregating now lol

 

For the record I worded that weirdly and def meant ppl I went to high school with. I'm so not cool or hip enough to know where the youth congegrare this day and age.


Which reminds me, in teen movies they always have a cool diner or spot to hang out in and it always made me jealous.
