One series that does continually land for me, funny enough, is Spider-Woman!

I had a feeling they might have Roger show up alive, with how things went. Part of me wished they wouldn't, since that'd be a bolder decision, but him popping up again didn't take away from the impact of Jess mourning. Plus, her moment with him made my heart so full. Definitely looking forward to what happens with the character next. Also, RIP Roger's beard, lol; I hope he grows it back!

Just read the latest Hawkeye #1. Off to a way better start to me than the previous volume.

    Lots more reading:

I love this Multiplicity arc right now in Superman. Multiverses are always a good time! Look forward to next issue.

I keep wanting to drop Green Lanterns, but then a new issue will remind me how much I love Jessica Cruz, and I'll get hooked again. I think I'll see this upcoming Batman-related story through, and then bow out. That's when some cool Marvel #1s will start coming out, so I can justify at least holding on that much longer.

Kill or Be Killed is just masterful comic book work. Brubaker and Philips are at the top of their game here, which is a bold statement. Brubaker said he expects this to be the longest series he does with Philips, which has me excited for the twists and turns on the way.

Clone Conspiracy continues to be a cool Spider-Man event. Look forward to the action that'll be coming up next issue.

This issue of Black Widow was kinda weird due to a trip to space, but it still fit the overall story well. Weird that a couple big things happened so abruptly, but I'm nonetheless excited for the final two issues.

The latest Black Panther was maybe my favorite so far just 'cause it was dominated by dialogue between T'Challa and Changamire. It's weird to get such a slow issue with this year-long story about to end, but I have faith in Coates' ability to finish strong.

I didn't like this issue of World of Wakanda as much as prior ones. The writing has weirdly felt less refined as it's gone on. Spending more time with the Midnight Angels is still cool, though.

I'm not sold yet on this new Batgirl arc yet, but it was nice to see her old friends again. Her phone conversation with Nightwing was fun. It sucks that, 7 issues in, I still don't fully enjoy the stories Hope Larson is telling, but at least I still love how she writes Batgirl herself.

Hawkeye... is fantastic. Seriously. I can't give enough hyperbolic praise. Kate is the absolute best when handled right, and Kelly Thompson is totally nailing her.

I bought Spider-Gwen 'cause it's in a crossover arc with Spider-Man. Curse you, Marvel! I only dropped it after Secret Wars 'cause $$$, though, so I do like seeing Robbi Rodriguez interiors again. (Sucks that he didn't do the issues I was forced to buy for Spider-Women.) This issue was way more charming than the first part; hopefully Bendis and Pichelli up the ante with the next one.

I can't for the life of me get through Ultimates. I love all of the characters involved, and the art is unreal, but something about it is just tough for me. I always put it down and read something else.

Read Batman vol 1. Loved it. The first issue was really really dumb, but the stuff with Gotham and Gotham Girl was compelling. Psycho Pirate is such a fun character when he is used correctly.

Volume 4 of Lock and Key felt a bit too fast paced. I really wanted to see the extent of some of the keys they introduced, but they felt a little rushed. Really looking forward to the next book.

Kill or Be Killed. Oh man. This was intense. Loved it so much. It felt a bit like Scarlet up to the point where someone showed up. Can't recommend that book enough.

The Ultimates is probably my favorite Marvel series right now. Al Ewing, Jeff Lemire, Jason Aaron and Charles Soule are the best Marvel has right now.

The only books I've been keeping up with have been:

The Ultimates^2: Closest thing to a grand sweeping Hickman-level cosmic epic.

USAvengers (which I hope brings back the rest of the New Avengers team, unless they're keeping Wiccan and Hulkling out for a Young Avengers reunion, which they hinted at, along with a New Mutans reunion)

Hawkeye, and Occupy Avengers: More Hawkguy and Kate Bishop!

Captain America: Steve Rogers, and Sam Wilson: Actually enjoying both these titles.

The Unworthy Thor: ODINSON! And I feel like Aaron is building up to a return of Gorr the Godbutcher, especially with that Ulysses vision of Old King Thor Vs Adult Loki wielding Gorr's sword drawn by Ribic....it HAS to be building up to a return of Ribic to Aaron's Odinson conclusion.

Doctor Strange, Jessica Jones, Soule's Inhumans, Daredevil, Thanos, Spider-Man, The Mighty Thor, Avengers, Champions, Nova (Richard Rider!), Infamous Ironman (Doctor Doom!), Gamora, Old Man Logan, Moon Knight, Scarlet Witch, and the new (She)Hulk book.

....wow. I guess as bad as I thought this new Marvel Now! Launch would be, I clearly like a whole lot of it. There's a lot of really good books out there now. I'd say an equal amount on or with Rebirth. I'll also absolutely be picking up Generation X, America, Ewing's Royals, Elektra, The Defenders, Iron Fist, Kingpin, X-Men Blue and Gold, maaaaaybe Weapon-X, Jean Grey, and Cable, all depending on their tone, subject matter, and supporting cast (wtf is Hope?).

Compared to Rebirth: Batman, Detective Comics, Superman, Green Arrow, The Flash,
Hal Jordan and the GL Corps, Titans, Teen Titans, All-Star Batman, Gotham Academy, Trinity, and Red Hood and the Outlaws.

Fall and Rise of Captain Atom, Death of Hawkman, and Deadman went completely under the Rebirth radar, but are great books.

And I'll of course have to get Super-Sons, The Wild Storm, JLA, and Batwoman.

Jesus I read too many books. While Marvel has really picked up their game, I don't think any of their books are as good as the best DC ones right now, and I was staunchly Pro-Marvel until ANAD Marvel happened, and Rebirth opened my eyes to DC's potential greatness.

The current Flash book is one of the best books currently out there, and the art is insanely good. All-Star Batman has been an absolute beast as well.

If I had to pick only the best five from each publisher:

Marvel: Ultimates, Hawkeye, Mighty Thor/Unworthy Thor, Daredevil, and Champions.

DC: All-Star Batman, The Flash, Green Arrow, Detective Comics, and Superman.

@Allpwrtoslaves, did you just list every ResurrXion title? lol.

The only X-Men book I'm settled on pulling is Generation X (which I'm SO VERY EXCITED FOR MY GOODNESS JUBILEE AND LOVABLE MISFITS YAY). Beyond that, I'm torn between X-Men: Blue, Jean Grey, and/or jumping back into All-New Wolverine. I think I'd go with Blue if it were monthly, but I'm pretty sure it's twice-monthly, which worries me. Having just read X-Men: Season One by Hopeless and McKelvie, I'm pretty into the idea of Hopeless writing a Jean series.

I'm settled on not pulling any Inhuman titles (unless Ms Marvel counts), but I'll be getting the trades for Black Bolt and Secret Warriors. The Black Bolt premise sounds fantastic, and while Secret Warriors is more uncertain, a team with Quake, Karnak, and Ms Marvel does sound like a pretty rad idea.

@Tim The only one that's a definite pick up is Generation X because it seems perfect, and probably Blue because Cullen Bunn has. Great handle on Magneto, even though I'm sick of the O5.

I'm willing to give Gold a try cuz it has many old favorite, and based on that first promo image for Royals I was on board, but I just looked at the more recent interiors and it got waaaay too ridiculous art wise, so that's going to be entirely story dependent.

As far as the rest of Ressurexion, Iceman is a no, Black Bolt might replace Royals, Secret Warriors honestly doesn't excite me, I loved the original. Weapon X, Jean, and Cable are all entirely story dependent, so I'm waiting for the first few reviews to see if it goes well. I don't particularly like any of those characters too much, but supporting casts could make a huge difference. They might be the only books to see the various missing X-Men: Gambit, Fantomex, Forge, Emma Frost, Cuckoos, HOPE, Dr. Nemesis, etc.

I only keep up with 4 DC titles (Superman, Green Lanterns, Batgirl which is flawed but I just love the character, and Shade the Changing Girl which technically counts), so I can't comment on your ranking, lol. I'm just glad you're here to up the Superman hype, since this thread doesn't appreciate him enough! (Here's looking at you, @Colby Searcy...)

For Marvel, I'm glad you included Hawkeye. That title is just 2 issues in, and it's already a top 5 Marvel book for me EASILY, and I read a ton of Marvel, lol. It and Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows are easily Marvel's best two new titles for me. Marvel should try to put Kelly Thompson on more books; I'd love to see her tackle a Spider-series.

Welcome back to the thread! For some reason you're a favorite of mine to talk to in here, lol. Our agreements and disagreements just line up just right I guess. Did you see my recent post about comic recommendation posts for Chorus corresponding with movie releases? I'd love to get you in on the fun.

Hey thanks! Yeah it's been a while I've been super busy with work. But yeah I basically come here to mainly discuss with you as we seem to be willing to have the most discussions haha. And I have no idea what convo you're talking about, hook me up!

As far as DC, Superdad might be the best title ever. I can't believe you don't read The Flash or Green Arrow! Those books are absolutely top notch. Both artists bring those stories alive in the best way.

I honestly don't mind the whole O5 thing, but I guess I see why some people would. Magneto leading that roster, written by Bunn, sounds like a good time. I really dig the new costumes. I still think Gold looks terrible, lol, but I'd love to be wrong. Royals also doesn't look great (agree on art), but while I don't read Ewing's book, I do think he's a great fit. I'm still scared that Emma Frost is gonna either die or go full villain in IvX... I'd be down w/ the Cuckoos showing up as snobby foils to GX's lovable oddballs, lol.

Bruh. You might just be destined to not appreciate Supes (maybe you just hate all that is good, fun, and hopeful), but reading that could be the first step to you joining the club! So good...

I just haven't taken the dive into Green Arrow as a character yet, even though I know I'd love him. There's so much to read out there... As for Flash, I hear a ton of praise for the artist, but I don't love that primary artist. Dunno if it's just the coloring style or what. Maybe I just need to warm up to it more.

Here's my post where I talk about the idea. Not many posts later, I elaborate by talking about what I was thinking for Logan.

But, like, that was the New 52 Superman. Does he really count? lol.

No, but seriously, can someone who actively likes the character of Superman tell me if that was any good? I've considered reading it 'cause it's a cool creative team, but what I've seen of it just doesn't... feel like Superman? I guess that was the common criticism of the whole New 52 era.

I just got super uninterested in everything when the eradicator showed up and I wasn't that into it before that. I find the son aspect interesting but wasn't really enjoying what they were doing with it. I thought the art was super inconsistent too which I always hate.
