I hope we get a song next week.

 

Reverbs and chorus. Hmmmm, maybe we are getting a Peripheral Vision kind of album this time around.

 

I hope this has a double meaning and dos is also the amount of days until we get a new song.

 

It was a bit odd that the photo was posted exactly at midnight eastern. If they post another pic tomorrow with a caption along the lines of "uno" with like Zac in it alone, I will explode.

 

It is definitely time for a single and album announcement.

 

So it is not even a guarantee that we are getting an announcement or anything on Friday- and I am already completely freaking out with excitement.

 

So excited for new Paramore.

 

No post today with any sort of continued countdown. I am crushed. haha

 

I feel like Paramore has been recording this new album for forever.

 

Been re-learning a lot of their stuff on guitar. I forgot how much Josh loved octave leads.

 

what does that mean

 

Like power chords but instead of a root and a fifth, it's the root and an octave. Listen to the intro to "Born for this" on the Final Riot, the entire thing is octave leads.

I think we'll still be waiting a bit for an announcement. I'm guessing a March announcement with a July release. Maybe April/August.

 

So the root is the "pitch class" on which the chord is built, he's saying that instead of the interval of a perfect fifth above the root, there's an octave instead (which essentially is an 8th, and is the same pitch class, just sounds higher in absolute pitch). Don't know if that made any sense the way I explained it.

 

Nah that's too far, I'm sure we'll get a single in February and the album in April/May.

 

I'd certainly prefer it if you were correct but I don't see next month happening if the album isn't completed, mixed or mastered at this points.

Unless the "%9" left is artwork and mastering, in that case February is very likely.

 

You might be right, we'll see. I think it'd be a bit risky to wait until late summer to release it when the summer festivals are done.

 

So someone "in the know" told me that Paramore are going to court with Jeremy in September. Do you think its likely that we'll get the album and a summer tour before then?

 

I don't know what the court hearing is for but I'm guessing it's probably receiving money from any sales from albums he worked on and a possible cut of all future money generated by the band. I guess it all depends on if he had any ownership in the band or how he was listed as being a full time member or whatever. I highly doubt that would stop the band from releasing new music and touring.

 

Damn, didn't think that would end up going to court.

 

Apparently Hayley & Taylor wanted to settle out of court but Jeremy refused :/
