This is my fave album by them but I can't say I know half as much as y'all. Think it's my favourite album of the year.

Lenses songs!! If they relearn rifle eyesight that would be so dope, here's hoping

 

i know right!!!! literally never thought they would play lenses songs again, let alone four in one show and aerobed to boot. would have done anything to be there

rly hope that people are receptive to those songs and they keep playing them

 

Would love to see more WTAM in future sets too, specifically Cold Spring, since that's probably my favorite CEG song at this point.

 

They've got a pretty big discography and their songs are mostly on the long side so it's great they're taking advantage of the variety of setlist they can play. Fuck, I wanna see aerobed live so bad

 

oh yeah I would rly love to hear Indiana cold spring and like blood does also

they have so many incredible songs

 

Opening up for the pixies on tour

 

It's gonna be really cool when Cymbals win over a ton of new fans on the basis of being better than the Pixies currently

I get it but I have always loved them

 

i mean yeah they were important back in the day in indie rock (they're no kevin devine though) but i always thought of them as lesser than a lot of the other influential bands of the time. and especially now, like, the new stuff is bad.

This is badass and you guys are bugging. The Pixies are amazing. Havalina might be one of my favorite songs. Also Monkey Gone To Heaven. And that Jesus and Mary Chain cover

 

The right way to look at it is that Pixies are an all time great and the new band the three non-Kim Deal members formed is real real bad. It's a shame, they were at the very least the real deal live before she left even if by the end of the Doolittle tour it really had devolved into a complete nostalgia cash in.

 

kevin devine pioneered this genre from the ground up, making use of the guitar for the first time ever with all-time classic "cotton crush"
