I'm still on board for that Rey to the dark side, Kyle to the light side theory.

I don't, personally. Rey is fucking awesome. I don't want to cheer against her.

Apparently in Brazil on the poster the pronouns for Jedi were male and singular. Read into it what you want.

I want Rey to be the LeBron James of the Jedi. A true prodigy that is a galvanizing and positive force for the Jedi and gets more people to follow down that path of freedom for all.

I wouldn't mind Rey falling if they don't rush it, but I would prefer it if she didn't. I am on board with the title, simple and to the point. Episode 8 is gonna be here before we know it!!

Yea, all the other titles allude to events...

Like The Phantom Menace! Totally an event, not a person. Totally not about Palpatine.

Phantom Menace is probably my favourite Star Wars subtitle, ha.

The Phantom Menace is more an unseen evil than a person at that point, and the title gives a sense of foreboding. A New Hope might have been a better comparison but even then there's an idea of something happening

Whatever though, not really something to argue about

Looks like there's already maybe more than one SW book named The Last Jedi when I googled for Ep 8 news yesterday lol.

Title doesn't rub me any way, it's fine for me personally.

If we're going to call her Lebron, maybe the switch to Miami would be her facing temptation from the Dark Side. Maybe dabble a little. Then go back to Cleveland - the light.

I mean, Palpatine is 100% the phantom menace of that movie. Does the title probably refer to a few different things and have some layers to it? Sure! But to act like the titles of these movies only allude to events is just silly. Own that silly thought and move on.

Because I said the title alludes to a person and not an event? Because I also agreed that it probably alludes to what he said? Is that really that silly?

You guys are all wrong. Kylo Ren is obviously Durant. Used to be one of the most loved stars in the league, then was seduced by the dark side (Warriors). LeBron is Vader - went to the dark side but was then redeemed. But Rey? Rey is clearly Giannis Antetokounmpo. A strong force user, destined for greatness, who seemingly came out of nowhere and is also impossible to hate. Also, no one can seem to get a grip on her last name.

The Phantom Menace was just the dark side/sith looming in the shadows that was long thought to be dead, finally showing its face.

Was quickly scrolling and reading on the train. On a quick read of this I got "Then the Sith blows a load." I can't even explain it.

And who was that Sith? The one who survived the movie and was orchestrating literally the entire plot of the movie? Who played the galaxy to move himself into power? Who was the phantom menace throughout the entire movie?
