Trying to do the same but lately the battery has been so shitty, like 8 hours max. I ended up buying the Apple Battery Case and now I can get through a full day.

 

Does Apple still support the 4S? I know when I got my 6 that was the cutoff. I had my 4 until they announced they weren't going to continue supporting it when the 6 dropped. I felt like it made sense to upgrade at that point.

I definitely don't want them any larger. They feel like they're a perfect size the way they are.

 

But I want people to really see my middle finger emjoi responses

Maybe my text size is way smaller than yours (mine is set to the smallest), or my eyes are bad, but I can barely make them out sometimes.

 

That's probably the case, haha. My text size has always been set to the default. I just changed it for a minute to the smallest, and I don't know how you deal with that.

 

i would be down for larger smileys.

 

I like the way snapchat handles them, if they're with a sentence they're normal small size. On their own they're larger.

 

Slack does that and it's awesome

 

I impulse bought an Apple TV (the newest one) and I really love it. I thought it would be pointless since I own every current console, but it's not. The apps are better on the Apple TV and I love the AirPlay feature.

 

Someone at work gave me their Apple TV about a year ago and I enjoy it. I haven't decided it it's worth it to upgrade.

 

So I went to get an iPad Pro 9.7" and somehow I ended up with the 12.9" one. I got the Logitech Create Keyboard with it.

So far... I love it? I'm honestly shocked. It's gimongous! I've already gone to the big iPhone 6S Plus, and I was originally an iPad Mini guy but now I've gone from that to an iPad Air 2 to this.

I think the biggest reason is that I mainly use my iPads with a keyboard. I do my main work on a 15" Macbook Pro or my iMac, but I like to write, play games, and watch movies on my iPad. For that reason, I like having the keyboard as a stand that props it up. The iPad as it's configured is also a great no-distraction tool for writing. My macs are all setup with multiple windows on a screen, the iPad can have two at most, and I usually use the split screen to look things up related to what I'm writing.

I'm going to mess with it for a week or so, maybe even get the pencil, and see how I feel. So far, I really dig it.

 

Sadly cracked my iphone 6s screen. Won some money in the ncaa tourney and now it will be going towards a new screen

 

Based on what we are hearing on the iPhone 7, do you guys think it will be worth upgrading from the 6?

 

All the rumors so far seem to point to the 2017 iPhone being the big step forward. That being said, I would upgrade after 2 years to the 7 regardless.

 

The slightly curved screen and face-scanning unlock function both sound interesting. I guess that's my dilemma at the moment. I am reading updates on the 7 and also what's coming after that, and naturally, I am intrigued by those other options.

I am not that interested in where the antenna bands are placed, or that the camera no longer protrudes, or that the phone is slightly thinner, etc. My current phone works great and does not have any cracks. I did the device swap on the 6 and paid for just the extra storage, so I am good there. I am trying to think if there is really a point to upgrade beyond the fact that I can haha.

 

I used to do bi-yearly upgrades and since the 5s I've upgraded yearly. This is the first year I'm not sure I will. I didn't really NEED the 6S Plus but I was able to upgrade since I'm on AT&T Next. If the lack of headphone jack really is true, I may wait for the accessories to catch up before I take the plunge.

One reason I didn't kick down doors to get an iPad Pro 9.7 is because I really want a keyboard that uses the smart connector, I can't stand Bluetooth keyboards, the connection is too unreliable.

 

I am actually not that upset about the headphone jack, but I do think it's fair to question whether there will be quality options available at the time of release.

 

I'm not necessarily upset about the possibility, I'm all for new standards and such. I just don't think it should be axed just to chase a thinner phone. I don't need my devices any thinner, really don't them much lighter either. I want them efficient and powerful.

I do think adoption of the adapter or standard that transmits audio through the Lightning port will be faster than, say, iPad Pro keyboards using the smart connector over Bluetooth, strictly because millions of people use iPhones and headphone makers won't want their headphones left behind.

 

After watching a couple videos off Final Cut Pro X vs Adobe Premiere performance on OSX in the last couple days I'm trying to install the free trial of Final Cut Pro X to give it a shot. Problem is, opening the package gives me the "verifying file" dialog and the progress bar never moves. Googling says to select the "Install Apps from anywhere" option in the Security menu but I already have that on. Anybody had this issue before and know how to resolve?

 

Getting the iPhone SE on StraightTalk with 10GB data a month. Anyone else free from a contract

 

So I have a 4th generation 16GB iPad that I've been having issues with the past couple months. It seems to do a complete battery drain within a day or two of complete non use. I've charged it a couple times to 100%. Left it off the charger and come to check on it and its almost dead. I remember turning it off after the last charge and now its completly dead giving me the empty battery symbol. Has anyone had an issue like this and had a solution. I've tried to search around and all I get is people saying how they just exchanged it. Never had this issue before when I used it almost daily. Could get 3-5 days of nightly internet browsing and social media app use out of it. I hate that its becoming a non-used item because I did love it.

Honestly I'm getting close to doing a factory restore after I back it up one more time.

 

Just ordered a 9.7 iPad Pro. Cannot wait until it comes in. Tried to order the pencil and Smart Keyboard but the Apple Store app and website would not let me. Plus it will take about a month to receive the keyboard. I'm so impatient when it comes to new Apple products

 

This is happening with my work iPad. Think the battery is just done to be honest - not sure if it's the case with yours but 4th gen is getting on a bit now.
