Because I hate fun. But for real Id rather they take their time and create something as perfectly refined as Inside. If that takes another six years so be it. I'd rather have that than anything less.

I'm excited about what Playdead does next... but they need to change their formula up now. Inside was the perfect amount of follow up to Limbo. But I don't think I want another game of that tone and exact play style.

Don't want them to be a one note studio.

I agree with this. Would love to see their next game really come out of left field and be a surprise in tone/style.

I need to get around to playing Limbo & Inside. Which is the better of the two?

    Inside.

I think both are essential games though, so start with Limbo.

So as far as reveals you're speaking about the identity of the Children of Ahkham leader, correct? I'm like 90% sure you are but I don't want to go off talking about it if you haven't seen it yet, haha.

And yes, Harvey's face becomes as fucked up as Two-Face's side of his face has ever been, it's really terrifying, I can't believe you didn't let that happen!! It's a really brutal scene where Penguin just smashes a fucking light straight into his face, it looks like he's dying

I'm absolutely referring to that reveal. It just didn't feel as big as I feel it should have.

Now I need to re play the end of Episode 2 to witness that cuz it sounds brutal

Also my logic behind that decision was I felt that he was less likely to be able to defend himself.

Yeah, I don't want them to rush something, I just hope they can create something perfectly refined in slightly less time, haha.

I really enjoyed it. They do explain the motivations as it goes along, if that's what you're worried about. (no spoilers in this for anything past what you know) Something like Hush would have been fucking awesome, but TellTale always plays their mysteries close to home, I didn't see them using a character that wasn't introduced yet that only comic fans would know, as awesome as it would be for US, so you knew it had to be someone in the cast already. I'll tell you what gave it away for me, when I was fighting the leader I suddenly realized that the armor looked like it was trying to hide a feminine figure. There was padding around her chest to make her breasts less obvious and a sort of shoulder pad thing. I couldn't get it out of my head after that, then I saw Vicki and I was like, I know what's going to happen! Haha, so I was proud of myself.

Does Selina get hurt if you save Harvey?

That's true about Hush, but they could've played the angle where he changes his face or something.

Based on the small stature I was kinda thinking it might end up being female, but I still stand by how badass that fight was and would love to see her show up in the comics!

Selina does get shot but just in the shoulder and is able to escape.

Lastly, apparently I was one of the few that didn't make them fuck when Bruce spent the night haha!

I eventually felt this way. They just never focused on the story enough and most of the side quests were boring fetch quests.

    Was good trade in value.

And yeah like @SpyKi I enjoyed XIII more than XV and that blows my mind in a way.

It sucks cause FFXV's story is really depressing and dark, but it was like...not explained properly. Too much of it was cut out! All the videos I watched on YouTube after I completed the game explained a ton, and some stuff that wasn't even touched upon in the game! it made me appreciate it a lot more. and it's very disappointing the game itself could not do that. it missed out on so much story wise. i enjoyed most of the side quests & monster hunts, and exploring the world. graphics are great. soundtrack i think is probably the best in any game i've played, not exaggerating at all. i've never felt so enthralled by a game's soundtrack before.

apart from the first half of chapter 13, i didn't have any problems with the gameplay, level design, or battle system. it just...the story felt rushed and the game suffered from that. the dungeons DO have some really great detail and effort put into them and there were some really memorable boss fights (leviathan, and the final 2 bosses in the story).

i also really love the bonding & friendship between the guys, esp towards the end. that post-credits scene with them at a camp really got to me.

it just didn't feel like a decade in the making game (how could the story end up being so rushed after all this time?) solely cause of how the story telling suffered, and that's what really sucks.

It's just that the main things I've always loved about Final Fantasy are the big, varied casts of characters, the exotic, fantastical environments and worlds and the storytelling. This game is lacking in all of those for me. Plus I just don't like open world, side quest based gameplay and even when focusing on the main quests I don't think they're nearly interesting or enjoyable enough, so far it's either been empty caves or dumb base infiltration. The battle system was fun to begin with but it's getting a little tedious the more complex the fights get.

  25. XIII hasn't been really good at telling its story, either. It's all there, but nothing is properly explained through dialogue; I too often have to go through the database to remind myself what each of the terms are.
