No surprise, expectations aren't stellar but we'll see.

 

Plenty of people literally calling for their death and celebrating someone crashing their car into protesters. Folks don't give a shit about the right to assemble and apparently as soon as an instance of violence appears you cede all your rights to trial, protection, etc

 

I don't think it's that these positions are any more crucial than the other, it's just that those two don't have the ethical/qualification concerns that so many of the other nominees do. Just speaking to Mattis, it's hard to argue he isn't qualified for the job - he also disagrees with Trump on Russia and NATO so that makes him palatable to the other senators.

 

People's consciences have been sheltered with selfie filters for far too long.

 

Holy hell some guy just told me that I'm confusing "some of the media" with "a lot of the country" when I said a lot of the country thought Kaep kneeling and people blocking traffic weren't acceptable types of protest.

There's not enough weed in the world to make me chill today.

 

Day one and people are going after Obama's Foundation. Guess I should buy PresidentCruz2020/4/6/8.com right now and try and make some money when it happens ... 'cause it's happening.

 

Not that it takes much, but Obama's small board is more diverse than the entire Trump cabinet.

 

Some really smart people on it too. I hope they can do good work, I'm curious to see what it will end up being. The man can organize and inspire like almost no one else in history. I'll be following for sure.

 

It is possible to criticize Trump and Obama, unless you think doing so to the latter gives aid and comfort to the former.

I think the criticism levied at Obama in this case is absurdly stupid; I am criticizing that. And also poking fun at what the great history of attacking Foundations that actually help people has brought upon us.

 

I think I remember a former President having to apologize for something a pastor he knew said ... who was that again?

Probably a mix of both and also a choice to consolidate and focus efforts on fighting the extra terrible nominees
