Agreed. I think the only fun I've ever had with motion controls was with Wii sports and Johann Sebastian Joust. Other than that they always feel like a chore.

I guess VR is an extension of motion controls but I still haven't gotten a chance to try it.

Bought Stardew Valley over NYE break. Fantastic game. Still shocked that this was made by one person.

Obsessed with steep. Seriously if you're on the fence about it go get it. So much freedom, so much to do, so much to accommodate different play styles. Stunning environments, realistic physics. Big complaint is that the menus are clunky as hell. Easy to get past when the gameplay is as successful as it is. It's a bit of a minimal game in that YOU decide what you get out of it. Wanna do a bunch of challenges? Wanna free ride and explore with no pressure? Wanna paraglide or ride around in your wing suit? Wanna scout every inch of the map? You can do it all and more. This is one of the best extreme sports game I've ever played in my life. Up there with skate 3 and American wasteland and ssx tricky. It's a modern, sophisticated take on the genre.

@Vivatoto just finished Episode 3 and holy shit! I agree with you on the voice acting, it's all fantastic, some even better than B:TAS IMO.

As for the reveals...Harvey's decline I was expecting to be different but it was interesting enough. Children of Arkham Leader is badass and that fight was cool, would totally like to see them in a comic. As for that reveal... Idk how I feel yet, it didn't seem big enough to me.

Just finished episode 3 too and I honestly don't know how I feel about that twist. It just seems too random to the point of being just for the sake of surprise imo, but to be fair I obviously haven't finished the game so they may explain it great and I'll change my mind. In my game I saved Harvey instead of Selina, so his face is normal, making his descent kind of weird. I feel like they wanted us to save Selina for the story to make more sense
Really excited to see what happens next though

Bought it a week or so back, and wasn't immediately hooked, but now my first fall is almost over and I'm already planning the next year.

If this game was a drug it'd definitely be an opioid.

This is my exact thoughts. I also saved Harvey at the debate and thought it seemed weird and random for him just to start losing his mind. So if you save Selina, his face gets deformed somehow? Interesting!

I keep going back and forth whether to get Steep. Think I might take Mafia 3 into town to trade in this weekend and see if I can get it for cheap. I love the enviroment of Mafia 3 but the gameplay is just so repetative that it's bored me to death at this point.

Every time I play FFXV I'm a little more disappointed in it. I'm just not really having much fun with it and I don't really care about anything that's happening. I'm still only on Chapter 6 so hopefully I'll like the rest of it more but I just never feel like playing it so who knows how long it'll take me. At this point I definitely like XIII more.

Do I need to be online to play Steep? I only ask because wiki describes it as an "online open world extreme sports game". My internet situation isn't great right now so that would be the only thing stopping me from getting it, otherwise it seems perfect for me.

Nooooooo alright glad I asked then. None of the reviews I saw even mentioned online features so is there a reason for that?

Well you see players riding around all the time and usually if you start a mission you'll ride against/with real players or ghosts. They made the choice not to include a offline version without that stuff. It's too bad but who know's why they really did it.

It looks a little rougher than the original but Dragon Quest VIII is still fantastic. Foliage draw distance is worse but the roaming enemies vs random battle still make the world seem lively and at least you can still see the important stuff (towns, dungeons, landmarks) from a long distance. Love this game.

ssx tricky is one of my favorite games ever. no snowboarding game has ever come close imo. i'm pretty pumped about this game. kinda want it for the switch but the always online aspect makes me think i should get it on ps4 because if i got it on switch i'd wanna be able to play on the go and what not.
