Finally listening to the new Megadeth, and liking it. Pretty huge step forward after Supercollider, ha.

Dude has an awesome cover art discog. All the way back to slaughter of the soul!

 

I used to love that band.

 

Think we all had our tteotd phase. I'll go back to them on occasion, great workout music.

 

I still enjoy Bloodlust quite a bit.

I went to see War of Ages, TTEOTD, Soilwork and Throwdown back in 2008 and their was a snowstorm (which is extremely rare of Dallas) the night of the show. Unfortunately Soilwork didn't make it to the venue, but WoA, TTEOTD and Throwdown played a show for me and about 20 other people.

 

Looking forward to this thread and some good recs. I'm anticipating new Gojira and Be'lakor. Gonna give the new Amon Amarth a listen. They've always been pretty consistent imo.

The new Bossk album is so ridiculously awesome and spacey, but also really heavy and riffy. I love it.

Preparing myself for new Cult of Luna next week. Good times.

 

Evidently Brann Dailor will be in Seth Meyers' house band all this week.

I love War of Ages! Those guys have never gotten enough love for how talented they are.

 

Agreed. Really underrated band.

 

Gojira is pretty amazing. Seem like good guys as well. I really enjoy Amon Amarth as well.

 

I dug this, even though I'm pretty sure the drums are programmed.

 

Not a fan of the new Erra...it seems like Jesse just kind of took over the band.

 

Finally listening to the new Gadget album, it's good stuff.

 

I'm seeing Pig Destroyer and Call of the Void on Friday. Pray for me that I come out alive, y'all.

 

Oh boy, the Cult of Luna and Julie Christmas album is so frigging good. Get on that.

 

Been meaning to listen to Cult Of Luna so I guess I'll start with this new one

 

Loving the new Graves at Sea album so much. Def one of the best of the year. Gonna check out that Cult of Luna too for sure.
