Alright, trying out this Deschutes Fresh Squeezed IPA. I haven't been drinking IPAs for long and don't have much of a frame of reference, but I like this one.

 

I'm a fan. of pretty much all their beers tbh

 

This is the first one I've ever had, but I'm eager to check out more.

 

I mentioned it earlier in the thread, but if you like porters, their Black Butte Porter is great

 

I saw that in the store yesterday, I'll have to pick some up.

 

Obsessed with Pizza Boy brewery lately. I haven't had a bad beer from them yet. They consistently impress me... had the Keystoner IPA last night and was in L-U-V.

 

That sounds like a fun brewery. Where's it out of?

 

It's based in PA, I think their distribution is pretty limited unfortunately. If you ever see it, I'd definitely recommend checking them out.

 

Mirror Pond is a classic American Pale Ale and Obsidian is a classic American Stout. Both highly recommended.

I also quite enjoyed their Hop Henge IPA.

 

Hey uh has this place ever done a bottle swap? It's not "technically" "legal" but it could be pretty fun if anyone else is trying to get some non-local local beers.

 

Hey guys, according to my untappd today is national beer day!

I was trying a Berghoff Germaniac. So check out if something local is going on, or if you want the badge!

 

My favorite bar tapped White Oak Jai Alai today and I got to leave early, so I was going to stop by, but it turns out my wife has bronchitis, so I'm heading home instead. Alas.

 

Went by Total Wine to pick up something since I'm basically out of beer (plenty of stuff in my cabinet for saving or sending, but nothing in the fridge except 9 month old Pumpkinhead my wife never drank). I got some psuedoSue, but I was surprised to see they still had some KBS. It's been there since Monday and it usually goes pretty quick. Was this a larger than usual batch?

 

Tried two local beers today:
Saucony Creek - Peach Ginger Saison
Stoudts - Fat Dog

 

ND: Funk Brewing Co - Citrus IPA

 

Saucony Creek's Hop Suplex Ale is great. Also the label is awesome.

 

I don't think I've ever spent less than a half hour in Total Wine. I have to go in with an agenda or I'm there for an hour.

 

This ended up being my first legal beer. I think I forgot to save the bottle, unfortunately.

I hear ya. I had my daughter with me so it was a quick trip for a 4 pack (and a giant bucket of cheese balls for her). Probably my quickest trip ever haha.

 

I'm a fan of Stone Brewery. Arrogant bastard is great.

 

Fort Point >>>>>> Sleeper Street.

But you need to get Double Dry Hopped Congress Street next time they brew it; it's literally juice.

 

Haha, my friend bought this bottle for me mostly because I actually work on Sleeper St, basically around the corner from Trillium. I need to go there more often, went there for a free tasting once after work but I think they stopped doing them.

 

Met up with a buddy from GA today and had a nice beer trade with him. Was able to grab:

Creature Comforts - Tropicalia IPA
Creature Comforts - Cosmik Debris DIPA
Creature Comforts - Athena Paradiso Berliner Weisse (growler)
Orpheus - The Rites IPA
Orpheus - Transmigration of Souls DIPA
Boulevard - Dark Truth Stout

Also, my local shop got KBS and WW Dark Arts today so I grabbed all I could of both of those as well.

 

That's a nice litte Georgia haul right there! I'm hoping I can make it out to Creature Comforts this weekend and grab the collaborative Baltic Porter they're releasing. (as well as some Cosmik Debris because damn that stuff is good)
