That'd probably equate to like a 30 min campaign per character.

That would be insane, haha. That would probably be an all time favourite for me if the campaigns were good enough. I doubt it'll ever happen but now I really want that.

They have such a big roster just with the first that if they made a good hour to hour and a half for each I would be content.

They could do one big campaign where it's one big story but you switch between characters and get different perspectives or different parts of the story. I just want more of those characters and I feel like they could tell a great story.

The Splatoon campaign is kind of awesome, by the way. Uses the mechanics in a ton of neat ways and ends in a pretty fantastic boss fight. It's not super long (5-6 hours maybe?) but it's great.

What I could see them doing is creating a campaign that would accommodate the playstyles of each character, so replaying would be very enticing.

  9. NetherRealm's campaigns have featured multiple characters. Not the entire roster, though; that would be insane.

Smash online for the Wii U, unless I have no idea what I am doing, is limited to timed battles. It takes so much of the fun out of it; stock is the only way to play.

overwatch campaign for each class would prob be like each class/spec in wow having their own artifact quest, which i had two problems with. a. they were extremely short and b. they were pretty much just copy/pasted versions of each other just in different areas of the world. the first few go arounds were fun but by the time i go to like the fifth or sixth one i was so bored

I think it's one of those movies that most people likely wouldn't see in theaters or even really knew about. I know it didn't do too well financially.

My enjoyment of it may be skewed by my love of the franchise but I say if you're looking for something to watch on Netflix it's worth checking out!

As much as they "should" cost given the costs of making the controllers. The rumble function, for example, is more sophisticated than the one in the PS4/Xbox One controllers. I have heard a developer that has a Switch say that the Joy Cons are more like the Vive/Oculus controllers than Wii remotes or something like that, and those are much more expensive.

Also, about going third party: if you think that, given the current shape of the video game industry, that it's a good idea for Nintendo to stop making hardware, you are ignoring so many cold business realities that it makes my head hurt. Of course, gamers be gamers. To adress just one of the many falsehoods and half truths that are attached to that narrative: Sega did not have a very sucessfull Sega 3DS next to their Dreamcast. That's just one of many reasons why Nintendo is, rightfully, nowhere near that point yet. I'm not going to go on because it has proven to be a waste of time. Peace out.

rumble has never been an important feature imo. innovating on it in 2017 to the point where it drives the cost of a controller up is funny at a certain point. esp a controller with seemingly poor ergonomics

Memories are nice, but that's all they are. Prestigious

The negativity and backlash regarding the Switch is exhausting at this point. I will never understand having such a critical opinion about something that isn't even out yet. I think it's fair to at least wait and see everything and actually try it before writing Nintendo off to their grave.

The only game I've ever played online for Nintendo has been Splatoon, and it was one of the most enjoyable multiplayer experiences I've ever had.

Why does it need to be out to be critical of it? I wanted to like what they had to show and be excited about their product but everything I've seen so far has been super disappointing to the extent where I am no longer interested in getting one until at least the end of the year when Mario comes out and probably not even then if they don't announce a lot more games for it.

It just looks like they're making the same mistakes they made for the last two generations and that is exhausting to me as a Nintendo fan who hoped they were going to finally get their shit together.

I haven't written them off completely yet and I really hope they do make the Switch a great success with a huge library of great games and if they do, I'll praise them for it. Right now though I don't have much confidence in them and I think it's perfectly fine to be critical of things they're doing.

The Wii, DS and even 3DS were hardly mistakes. The first two pretty much changed the world and are the reason Nintendo has so much cash in the vault that they could theoretically make a loss for several decades (38 years, last time I checked).

Also, being critical of Nintendo's current moves is fine. The voice chat app for example merrits discussion, though that's a more complicated thing than people think, as is always the case in the consumer electronics industry. The problem is just that the alternatives people usualy start providing are so uninformed and bad.
