Really hoping we get a stream on the 27th or earlier during release week. Or that my pre-order arrives super early. Need to hear this album NOW.

 

I'm glad this didn't leak super early like RW did. That album leaked like, 2 months out which was a damn shame.

I think I'm now a CW is best Menzos Stan now. Its got some more political tracks on it like Male Call and Come Here Often plus the title track and Times Tables are possibly the best songs they ever wrote.

 

Time Tables + Rivalries mmmmm

 

Chamberlin Waits is their best song besides Casey. Times Tables and Rivalries are both top 10 as well.

Took a while but CW is my #2 Menz album. Deep Sleep, Tasker-Morris Station, So it Goes are all awesome songs in addition to those mentioned already

 

As I've said before, I prefer CW to OTIP. They also played Male Call at the acoustic show on Wednesday, that was neat

 

CW is criminally underrated. I still think OTIP is their best and I can't imagine them making a better record than that.

CW I have a strong attachment to just because of the shows I got to see them at during those times. I got to see them at a few house shows and some very tiny venues. I'll never forget that

Just got the okay from work that I can leave early to make it to acoustic performance on 2/2. So pumped. Kind of wanted my first time seeing them to be full band, but beggars can't be choosers right.

 

Now That's Class for the win! Hell, they opened for Fake Problems and Gaslight. Really interesting album cycle.

 

Yes! The first time I ever saw them actually was at The Rockstar (Upstairs of Peabodys) opening for Swingin' Utters right when CW dropped. Which is a very strange memory.

 

I remember being pissed I couldn't go to that show. I never got to see a show upstairs. I've been up there for hangouts and a couple shows actually had you walk up the stairs outside and go through that room and then down to the main level haha. Despite how behind those shows ran, I do miss the venue. I saw some really interesting shows there. But, I think I knew the Menzingers would be important when I was seeing them do these small rooms and then Gaslight brought them on their American Slang run.

 

It was a pretty terrible room but I also miss Peabodys despite how awful it was haha And yeah they were a band I knew was going to get somewhere. It's awesome that we'll be seeing them headline on the main stage at HOB

Yeah, while I think we both share a similar opinion on HOB, I am so incredibly happy for them to headline there. I hope it sells really well too. I can't remember, did you go to the TBS, Letlive, and Menzingers show during the Happiness Is run? To see them go from first opener to headliner at HOB is so damn sweet. At some point we will have to meet up. We go to basically the same shows haha.

Hope this is great. Lookers is one of my favorites they've ever done. Don't care for RW as a whole and I can't listen to OtiP anymore.

"My Friend Chris" is one my favorite Menzingers bsides, it actually broke my heart the first time I knew all the lyrics

Right in the heart. Might be my favorite Menzingers song overall.

 

right? the delivery of that line, and the sort of fondness turned melancholy regret that is the undercurrent of all of it is basically a really good precursor to everything they'd do on OTIP, such a good song. That cemented them as one of my favorites for sure. Brianna's harmony's on that song are also great
