  2. I haven't seen Fences yet (going this weekend) but that might be a more interesting pairing as both are (or at least seem to be) in part analyses of black masculinity.

    Some.

I'm like the middle-ground between mindless moviegoer and snobby cinephile.

  18. The season 3 premiere of Penny Dreadful turned the camp up a notch, I was starting to worry that in moving part of the show to America, it had lost its way. "Blade of Grass" restored my faith in the show, however, as it's quite possibly the best bottle episode that ever was and ever will be. (I mean, seeing Rose Tyler slitting some throats was enough to hook me into this season, but I have no doubt in my mind anymore that this season will reach the heights the show previously achieved--it already has.) The way the previous episode ended, my first thought was, what are the odds that Vanessa's orderly would turn out to be Frankenstein's creature? but then I realized, if the show believes in prophecy, it must also believe in fate, so it must've been destiny that Vanessa and John Clare had a "reunion" in a sense.

    Newbie

Let me preface this post by saying that well over a decade ago, i was an avid absolutepunk.net forum poster (my first forum tbh. oh those were the days. jason tate = mathew lillard with aids. yeah i was there!). and if the community is still fairly the same, i think this will be right up your alley... granted, youre into podcasts. and if not, feel free to burn me at the stake.

    Kevin's Cryptids - a new IMMERSIVE ADVENTURE podcast/audio drama.

website: www.kevinscryptids.com itunes: Kevin's Cryptids by Kevin's Cryptids on iTunes

"Buckle up for the audio ride of the year with Kevin's Cryptids, an immerisve adventure podcast that follows self-proclaimed Cryptid Hunter, Kevin Weathers, and esteemed journalist, Taylor Hunt, as they travel across the United States in search of proof that creatures like Bigfoot and Chupacabra walk among us"

This is a new, original and unique podcast weve been working on for well over a year now. a mixture of adventure, mystery, suspense, and humor. fans of podcasts, there really isnt any other scripted audiodrama like ours. The story isnt told through a narrator. instead, we immerse you into the scene through dialogue between characters, and the captivating environmental sound effects that surround them.

so if you find yourself bored at school, work, or on that shitty drive home. check it out! we think youll love!

EDIT: just saw in another thread that slade's still posting. oh the nostalgia!!!

Serious question: Does Jason Momoa have dialogue in any of his roles? I don't watch Game of Thrones and I've never seen any of his movies, but anytime he's featured in a trailer he just stares menacingly and never talks.
