I was hyped as hell for the Switch before, now I'm leaning towards Zelda on Wii U and waiting until around the holidays to grab one with Mario (or maybe Summer for Splatoon).

 

I really hope they put some other good games out at some point because I really do want to get one of these and play Mario Odyssey.

Definitely not paying £280 for this at launch just to play Zelda when I can play it on Wii U. Apparently the pro controller is really expensive too.

 

$70 in the US! SEVENTY.

Ridiculous. That's what $430 to get the console, pro controller and Zelda?

 

I just pre ordered Zelda on Wii U for £38, I'm happy.

Yeah so I forgot to set my alarm so slept through the presentation. I just caught up with the thread and seems like I didn't miss much. I'm still going to preorder it today on amazon (I don't have a wii u). Have we had uk pricing yet?

Yep. Got my $47 Amazon preorder in for BotW on Wii U and I think I'm good for now.

Nabbed mine, and they're doing midnight release.

 

That about what is was expecting, I was happy enough to chuck £300 at it. We aways get shafted here pricing wise at launch anyways. PS4 and Xbone were both more expenseive than just a straight conversion of currency from the US at launch.

Yeah I'll check out Zelda when I get to work. I can see why you don't want to pick the switch up, not many great launch titles. Still I haven't had a Nintendo console since n64 so I'm pretty stoked, hopefully they'll have a decent virtual console on there.

 

There's no way I'm playing Zelda on the go. I'm taking a few days off and playing in the dark.

I really, really hope the UK version has Japanese voice acting options after watching the English trailer.

 

If I didn't have a Wii U I'd get it. I'd pay 500 for this fucking Zelda game, haha.

So what happens with Smash Bros.? If it is true that they are doing an enhanced port like Mario Kart, it makes no sense to make people wait.

Didn't Rayman Legends come out on the Wii U? Still, a fantastic game.
