Seeing how authentically Star Wars they make all of this look is unbelievable. Looks tremendous. I love everything about that trailer.

 

Remind me where this stands as far as canon goes? Between new trilogy and original trilogy?

 

Between episodes III and IV

 

I watched this trailer way too many times. Definitely haven't worked too hard today.

 

My Mom works at Disney and just asked me, "Where is Rey?" Come on Mom!

 

Something else I noticed in the trailer after watching it like 10 times...no aliens. All of the characters shown are human.

 

This is probably the coolest shot. I don't think it's Vader either, but the figure is also too big to be the Emperor. Made the Emperor is inside that glowy (Bacta?) tube?

 

Tell her it's the story of Rey's mother.

 

I've read that budgetary concerns are the cause of this.

 

Whoever Mads' character is

Not sure I'll ever get tired of having a star wars movie every year.

 

I was a little worried that I might get tired of Star Wars with a new movie every year, but then I started watching Clone Wars and Rebels and realized I'll never get sick of this universe.

 

Absolutely hyped. Love that piano, love Felicity Jones and Donnie Yen. Mendelsohn looks scary. Excited for Mads. This whole cast is just so stacked. The action looks like it'll be great. Just.. everything.

Also, I believe this movie already passes the Bechdel test in the trailer.

People are already speculating if Jyn Erso could be Rey's mother ha.

 

I keep forgetting how giddy Star Wars makes me and I wasn't particularly hyped for this at first but that trailer completely changed my mind. I need it now.

 

As long as their story-telling models are diverse enough it basically becomes a genre on it's own. That's been part of Marvel's success.

 

I like the sound of that.

"What's your favorite genre of movie?"
"Star Wars."

 

I can totally live in that world!!

 

When they release the action figure for Jyn Erso in that Imperial getup I am purchasing that so fast.

 

I personally have grown a little tired of the Marvel universe. Of course, I'm not a huge superhero guy anyway so that probably has more to do with my personal tastes than Marvel itself.

 

That means it should be lots of fun.
