I mean I did. The entire show is built around their past experiences/personalities idk what itd be like to jump right in

 

@OhTheWater Did yours start at episode 25? And then have random missing episodes? Because that's what I'm seeing. I subscribed and going to try out a couple at work today.

 

Ugh, yeah dude the feed is a mess. I think the SMODcast website has them in order. In addition to the show not starting off with incredible momentum on first listen, a lot of the episodes are out of order lol. They almost want you to have a difficult time getting into the show.

I haven't watched Comedy Comisado yet since I saw him live on that tour, but I will definitely be checking this out over the weekend.

 

Slow and steady. I've gotten like 10 down. I'm starting to see the appeal a bit, but this is definitely a grower of a podcast in my eyes.

 

Anyone listen to Julian Loves Music yet?

 

I only listened to the first episode where he hijacks a Meltdown show but it was a good 15 minutes. I'll probably check out the other episode soon.

The first full ep was pretty awkward, but I have hope for it, the format and games seem fun. But if he becomes a big asshole about liking guns n roses or something all the time I'm gonna just ignore it

 

Ha yeah, the pod started because Bry was in a super dark place and Walt didn't even think that he'd follow through with a second episode. It takes a little bit before they get more comfortable on the mic.

I should say that Bry's persona does irk me from time to time and I don't really agree with a lot of his viewpoints, but Walter Flanagan is the heart o the entire show. Bry also has incredible comedic timing and razor sharp wit and has some of the funniest comments throughout the run; however, he goes to the "complain about pop culture" well a bit too much for me. The best episodes are usually Walt centric about a particular event or story that he went through.

I'm only about 10 episodes from catching up on Magic Tavern and thats super bittersweet. I could listen to this forever.

 

I've been diving into Gilmore Guys lately. Fan of Gilmore Girls and the guys are really funny talking earnestly about this show

 

I saw one of their live shows a month ago. They're really good. I was listening to the podcast in order while watching the show for the first time and I made it to season 3 but I've been taking a break because it's such a commitment to watch an episode of TV show in order to listen to an episode of a podcast that's often 90-120 minutes long. And Gilmore Girls doesn't lend itself to bingewatching very well IMO.

 

I feel this so hard. I'm in season 4 right now and pulled back a bit on the podcast. 40 minute episodes do not make the show very bingeable

 

Broken record here but Not Safe is so fucking good. That Dan Savage segment this week was stupendous.
