I just installed Apple Music and am having nothing but problems. I tried creating an account on mobile but it kept crashing or glitching and wouldn't let me finish the process. Then tried to do it on desktop and it said I didn't have enough space which is not even close to true so I tried it again and it worked eventually. I was then able to log in through mobile but it often crashes. It has been crashing throughout the day and right now when I click on an album it is just blank and I get an error message, so I can't do much. I know my tech isn't the newest ever but I've never had any issues with apps or anything before. Spotify crashes once in a while but not throughout the day like this and never rendering it unusable. Idk. Makes me sad cause I like how simplistic and sleek Apple Music is but idk what's going on. The only Apple product I've used is old iPods so I'm just like... idk haha

 

Really strange. I haven't had an issue with Apple Music in a long time

 

If I could get a new last-gen MBP, 2.9 ghz 16 GB RAM 256 GB SSD for like $1500, is that still a good deal at this point or should I stick to current gen? (Which both run around $2000 with comparable specs, except non-touchbar tops at 2.4 ghz)

Holiday return window closes on the 8th so I processed my return today and the 2016 non-touch 13 inch will be going back. I don't know what I'm going to do yet, thankfully because I bought it with an education loan and not a credit card I actually don't get an apple gift card, the loan just gets cancelled. So Windows options are back on the table, as are used models online.

 

I have the 2015 13" MBP and I really like it. I'm not a huge tech guy, but for the basic stuff I do (Home recording, web browsing, photo editing, writing, listening) I really enjoy it and haven't had any issues.

 

LG is abandoning the modular smartphone idea

LG’s modular phone accessory strategy that served as the primary differentiator for last year’s G5 smartphone appears to be no more. The Wall Street Journal reports that the South Korean company is pivoting away from the plug-in “Friends” modules for the upcoming G6 device after lackluster sales for the G5.

Per The Wall Street Journal, an LG spokesperson commented that consumers aren’t interested in modular phones.

I remember when someone told me this was the future.

 

My iPhone is stuck in headphone mode.. dropped it in the snow, any productive suggestions apple says they won't fix it or else I have to replace the entire phone.... I hate this ####

Something wrong with the headphone port. Take in to a place that repairs iPhones and they will put a new one in for you. Had a similar situation and it was due to water damage causing my phone to be stuck. It's a fairly quick fix for the 3rd Party repair stores. Maybe $100.

 

Ok a dumb apple music question.

On Spotify I could make a playlist available offline and after that when I'd add songs to that playlist they'd automatically be made available offline. With Apple Music, I have to go back and remember to download again cause they don't do it automatically. Did I hit a weird setting or is that just how it is?

Sry I know Google is a thing but apparently I'm a terrible googler cause the only thing that comes up is downloading across multiple devices and I'm like nooo that's not what I mean!!!

 

Every time I unlock my iPhone, I get a message saying "A new update is now available. Please update from the iOS 10 beta." I'm on 10.2 and in software updates it says I'm up to date. A restart didn't get rid of it. Anyone else getting this and anyone know of a fix?

 

you had the iOS10 beta right? delete the beta profile on your phone. i think it's under your general settings?

 

My coworker just started having this exact same issue. He bought his iPhone second hand. But when I go to delete the profile, "Profile and Device Management" isn't in the settings. When I search it, it pops up, but when I click on it, it doesn't do anything

 

I deleted it a month or so ago so that's the main reason I'm confused haha.

 

Does anyone else have this issue and solution. Whenever I send a link to my friend's in a group text my previews don't show but when I receive it will appear. One of the people has an android and I wonder if that screws up my phone. But if they send me a link I get that little preview box that I love.

 

Was it deleted prior to downloading the current OS you have installed? I had the same problem but it was resolved once I installed an update without having the beta profile installed.

 

I'm pretty sure I updated to 10.2 after deleting the beta. I could be wrong though. The message only started popping up yesterday.

 

It could be because of that. My brothers haven't updated their phones because they don't have space and whenever they send me a link I have to download the preview.

 

Anyone with an Apple Watch right now, do you prefer the nylon or the sport band? Really considering making the jump now that Series 2 is out.

 

Currently waiting to talk to an advisor because getting a dialogue box telling me to update literally every time I unlock my phone is driving m crazy now.

 

I really love the sport band to be honest.
