If it was the fully committed Tom of 2002 or 2003 I would be gutted he was kicked out. But he doesn't have any passion for pop punk anymore so this was for the best. Seriously want a sample or something now. Just to put my mind at rest...

 

I'm so happy to see that this is mastered! It just feels like a huge relief and it almost makes the waiting process a little less painful now haha. Now we just need that single!

 

I'd actually like if that were the album art...

 

looks like something angels and airwaves would use...

 

I do hope they use photography of some sort for the album cover though, have not been a fan of the past few covers. But then again I think the only photography based album cover (including side projects) was Enema of the State (my favorite) so chances are probably slim

Anything will be better than the cover artwork for Dogs Eating Dogs. That was really, really bad.

 

Yeah, I definitely don't want another Dogs Eating Dogs type cover. And even the Neighborhoods cover was really bad.

Neighborhoods grew on me. It was also fun to color in on photoshop hahaha.

I want some color on the next art.

 

Listening to Dogs Eating Dogs, and I have to say I just love the line 'Your only hope is burning down the chapel'.
It makes me think of loss of hope, like we're somehow screwed and our heroes are not who we thought they were.

I know it is meant to say that "you have to burn down the chapel, that's your only hope", but I picture someone that I had a lot of faith and hope in, actually burning down a chapel and turning insane.

That's a long shot and I'm talking nonsense, but I really like that line.

 

Neigborhoods' artwork was fine, but the one for DED was truly abysmal.

I agree with what has been said. Time to bring back some color or even for a new logo.

 

Man, I miss the smiley face logo. Obviously they can't go backwards, but still.

 

They used it on Neighborhoods. Back of the CD and on the CD. Plus it's their Facebook and Twitter picture

 

I can't see them making a completely new logo at this point. The smiley is just too iconic. I can see them making a modernized version of the smiley logo, but not a completely new one altogether.

 

I think the smiley logo should belong to a specific era. It's cool to have it on stage backdrops and social media, but not for new album cycles and album artwork.

 

I like the new logo idea but I'd also have some feels for the smiley if they brought that in in a cool way.

 

They sort of screwed themselves over by adding another arrow when they reformed. It would sort of be weird to go back to the original also.

 

I actually think the new smiley logo in black and white that they've been using on facebook/twitter/instagram is pretty cool but I also agree that it would be nice to see some artwork with color in it.

 

I know there was a fan made Neighborhoods cover floating around when the album came out, thought that one was actually pretty dope. I feel like we're going to be getting some news next week

 

wish they'd do away with the smiley, it's hideous. I hated it when it came out (as did a lot of fans since it was a blatant nirvana ripoff).
