I feel tense getting one but afterwards I feel so alive, it's like getting a new back. I love it.

watch out for them crazies man. A friend of my gf's; her and her new bf were shot to death in jax by her crazy ex. and they had been broken up for like a year.

If I dated someone who had experiences like that with their last partner it'd make me want to try to understand how it affects her, do better on my end as far as empathizing with her experience, etc. idk. I wouldn't steer clear of someone who could potentially be a great partner because of that. Again, I'm terrible with words, but that's my perspective on it. Everyone's had awful things happen to them and if we missed out on every person who's had a problematic former significant other, we'd likely miss out on everyone. Just my 2 cents I guess.

 

One of my jobs is at a rental house theatre (our building has 4 theatres of various sizes that production companies, etc can rent). There's this diva names Hershey Felder who draws in some of our largest crowds for shows which is great for giving the staff hours BUT his clientele is largely in the 70+ range. We had a run of his show Irving Berlin in the fall and it comes back tonight for another month long stint. Basically I'm just here to be sullen that I will be in a wrinkly, walker filled hell where old rich white people yell at me for no reason. That and I'll have Irving Berlin songs stuck in my head all the time again.

 

I use to work at an amphitheater in my younger days. The absolute worst shows to work were the ones that brought in the older folks. Not quite 70+ like yours but definitely nearing retirement age. Unbelievably rude and just filled with pent up...everything.

I once saw two grown ass men fight because one touched his wife on the shoulder when trying to scoot by to get to his seat. Grown. ass. men.
