Hey guys, I was kind looking for help. I normally don't buy things off the internet, but how legit is Amazon ? I found a copy of Crimson by the Trio that's being released on the 27th for 19 bucks, and I also found a copy of Good Mourning being released on the 27th at 22 bucks. Now, I've never seen either of these records this cheap before. I only ask because I hadn't heard any news on them being re released or anything. And they are both 180 Gram Vinyl. I really wanna pull the trigger on this but I'm not sure how legit it is.

Amazon's legit. Sometimes they post information earlier than they're necessarily supposed to. I would pull the trigger.

Those are represses. A lot of Vagrant stuff is being repressed as a part of their 20th anniversary. From Here to Infirmary is also being repressed. Here's more info about what they're doing do: Vagrant celebrates 20th anniversary, releasing vinyl reissues

That's weird. If it says import, that's what I would assume, yeah. Normally imports are a lot more expensive though, and those prices don't seem jacked up.

 

No idea. Given the quantities of these represses (1500) and the fact that it's the Trio, I'd say your safest bet is to order now.

 

Amazon is usually always my first stop for vinyl. Unless there is a special variant I want, Amazon is my go to.

 

That's what I'm going to do, I would go for one of those deals but I already have From Here and Maybe I'll Catch Fire.

 

Does Amazon know how to pack vinyl now? I ordered a record from them years ago and it came in a big ass box with packing bubble stuff.

 

The releases I've gotten recently from Amazon have been packed in vinyl-sized mailers and came in good condition. No complaints here.

 

is the repress of A City by the Light Divided really worth 60 dollars? I bought War All the Time when it came out but it sounded absolutely terrible - idk I heard I wasn't the only one that happened too

 

Also - could I get a functional setup for like 500? Probably will go vintage for the speakers - but am thinking new for everything else.

Yeah you can get an Audio Technica LP120 for around $200. From there you need an amp and speakers.

ACBTLD was only pressed once and its the Hot Topic version. It sounds great to me and I think its out of print so $60 isn't too bad. WATT was pressed twice, once when it was released in 2003 with alternate artwork and again in 2012 by Hot Topic. The OG one sounds great. The Hot Topic one I've heard sounds bad. Try to find an og copy on ebay or discogs they pop up for around $30-$40 from time to time.

 

Repress? I think there has only been one pressing.

 

Does anyone have the Boxcar Racer LP? If so, would you be willing to part with it if the price is right?

Has anyone ever had issues with Amazon sending the wrong record? I have had nothing but good experiences with them in the past, but I tried to finally order The Menzingers- On the Impossible Past, and I received an M. Ward record. I filed the exchange form for the correct record, and sent the wrong one back. 2 days later I received the same damn M. Ward record in the mail. Clearly there was a mistake in the warehouse or something, but I was not thrilled with their customer service when i reached out the 2nd time, and was not excited to make 2 trips to UPS.

Just curious if anyone has dealt with this, and if they did anything for you for the inconvenience.

 

Anyone ever subscribed to VNYL? I saw an ad on Facebook to get 2 months for $40 total. I figured I'd try it, 6 records for $40 didn't seem that bad. First month I got Against Me! - Transgender Dysphoria Blues, Handguns - Disenchanted, and Weed - Running Back. I was pretty happy with Against Me! and somewhat okay with Handguns. For my second month, I was sure to create a discogs and link that. This month I just got Fall Out Boy - American Beauty, Panic! - Too Weird to Live, and My Chem - I Bought You Bullets. I'm extremely happy with my 2nd month. I'm not sure if I would pay the regular $40 a month for it, but I was very happy with what I got on my promo membership.

 

My cousin gifted me a three month subscription for Christmas. I'm interested in seeing what shows up, still waiting for the first box. Probably wouldn't pay for it normally, but I thought it was a cool gift.
