I'm trying to make it work and get up there, do you work? I'm supposed to watch my 12 year old brother so I might end up having to bring him with me haha

I work, but not until 5, so I'm pretty tempted to head to Ellison at 3 and pick up a four pack of each.

Triple IPAs should not be a thing.

I've had two great ones and countless awful ones. Waldo's is fantastic, and Short's Brewing's Batch 5000 a year or two ago was stellar, as well.

I'm still hungover from my first and only bout with Waldo's.

Three Floyds Alpha Naught is probably the best triple IPA I've ever had...I'd buy that shit up if they actually bottled it, and I'm generally pretty sour on most of what Three Floyds puts out.

Almost bought Bomb! today since it was on sale but was a bit scared off remembering how many people here commented on their contamination issues with Prairie products. Went for Ballast Point Mocha Marlin instead and this year's Breakfast Stout which I haven't tried yet.

Had one of these the other day. Came in with low expectations, but it was REALLY GOOD.

I've never had a problem with Prairie products, but I also haven't had a bunch since they are just starting to expand their reach in Michigan. I enjoy Bomb! but I'm not a big pepper fan, so I never want to drink a full bottle of it. This years breakfast stout is KILLER.

Gonna be sharing a bottle of The Vine by Cascade and a bottle of 2016 BCBS Barleywine tonight after/during work.

I think I made the right call then, I'm not big on peppers in beer either.

Any Montana brewery recs? Looks like I'll be in the Bozeman, Butte, and Helena regions...my also be in the area west of Glacier NP but figure the choices would be fewer and far between up there.

Never been, but the bf lived there for a while a few years ago and loved Bozeman Brewing Company.

Just had a Tweak by Avery Brewing. Awesome beer but I'm feeling it due to drinking it on an empty stomach.

I don't really like the term Triple IPA, I think it sounds weird. But if we're gonna list favorite "triples" then my vote goes to All Green Everything.

Also, I finally got to try Rodenbach Alexander on NYE at Torst and was blown away. Absolutely incredible stuff.

I had a Shorts-Critterless today, and it was the first sour I've enjoyed.

I had a 2014 Narwhal that I completely forgot about until I was cleaning out my pantry a few days ago last night. It was decent. The thing tasted like a lot of chocolate malt and the espresso taste had completely faded. Still not bad for a Tuesday night though.

J Wakefield is on point, that DFPF is a practically perfect beer. They did a two night event a few months back in NYC and I drank my weight in berliners, lol. J Wake himself was there and when I asked him his favorite beer of his he surprised me by saying Desperado, their Imperial Stout - which is a great beer, but their sours just totally slay IMO.

Ugh, had like 3 different Prairie Noir variants sent to me by a friend and they were all infected. I don't think it's still an issue with them but I'm hesitant regardless.

Breakfast stout is IMO one of the best semi-readily accessible beers out there. I love love love it.
